Hi just wana say i have 2 hawks and its rubish.the oc sucks.1 out of like 10 000 can oc good.i bought 2 and afterburner doesnt work properly with them.with nvidia inspector at max volts 1.213 the cards still only oc to 900mhz the one and 920 on the other one.can benchmark the one at 960 but arifacts gelore.will never buy there nonsense again.i had 2 sonic platinum palit gtx 460's.the memory could oc till 2200 easily on both and the core with only 1.087volts could do 930 rock solid stable.the only thing was that they were noisy.

Can you try increasing max voltage on the attached bios?

    Thanks!

BetA or anyone here - Can you tell me why the clocks go down in Kombustor whenever Afterburner is opened? This is driving me insane. It happens even at default settings and drivers do not make a difference.

It has had this problem from day one and will ultimately cost me a contest win. This is what I can do without Afterburner open...

    hmmm.-..

maybe its a prob with afterburner?
so when afterburner is off and kombuster only on, it works?

if yes, then maybe we need to wait for a new version of afterburner..in the last time i read a lot about problems with the hawk edition and afterburner..

cant really help u out there..sry...

hey beta.. I was wondering if you could mod my zotac 460 1gb bios?

I wanted the voltage unlocked and the fan at 20% min, 100% max (currently at 30 with another flash and it's a bit too loud idle- default was 20).. the rest can stay the same

    thanks

for reference I'm currently at 900/2130 with the stock cooler running 80%.. that's with 1125v using a bios I d/l off another site and redoing the tim on the cooler

runs that speed on mafia 2 maxed with physx for hours, 4.2 on the cpu =] so I can say it's definitely stable.. also runs with 1112v but not 100% stable in certain games- 1125v handles crysis

I've got it to run at 940 messing around but thinking longevity, don't want to blow it up on air.. 1125v at 900 clock seems fine after a lot of testing

if you could mod it for me.. I'd really appreciate it.. ocing with afterburner so stock clocks is fine- need the fan and voltage

Up! Anyone can help me please? I can't sleep at night...:paranoid:
Obviously if I raise the slider, volts go up, but at default gpu runs at 1,063, not at 1,1505

    cool thanks.. that was quick

*edit works perfect.. that's a nice editor you guys have

I was going to wait for mvktech to release his.. really would like to adjust the ramp up speed so when it hits a certain temp, it revs the fan up on auto

did that with my 260.. sure they will have it figured out someday- but thanks again beta.. this should tide me over till then =]

NiBiTor 5.8 has been released, but some features for GTX460 are still missing (like fan speed adjustment). It can however change the frequencies and voltages. You can find it in the menu Tools -> Fermi Clocks/ Fermi Voltages

    http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/4851/143/

    Didn't tried it yet...
