Thanks for the help BetA13, the flash went fine. It appears 900mhz sli is quite doable with the extra voltage.

Unfortunately though (and I promise it was not related to overvolting) one of my cards died. It has been flaky since the day I bought it but it only recently got bad enough that I was able to isolate it as the problem. Now I get stuck at the Win 7 welcome screen if I try to boot with the bad card enabled. It sucks extra since it was the better overclocker of the two cards. Even at stock voltages it could muster 2250 or so for the memory.

I'm buying 2 Hawks as replacements so I may eventually need your bios help again.

I also wanted to verify for amiga and any interested that my Gigabyte cards had no trouble downclocking to 50mhz at idle in sli, so it definitely isn't normal if yours can't do it.

Which Geforce Driver do you use?

    I am using Geforce Win7 x64 260.63 Beta.

For everyone that doesn't want to wait for him to mod your bios, DO IT YOURSELF.

Here's a link to a page with Nibitor (where you can adjust voltages and clocks yourself, but only fan speed is not changeable (really i dont know why you would want fan speed any lower than the stock. not that loud)), Drivers for nvidia cards, and STOCK BIOS for a bunch of card vendors (incase you need to RMA a card and need the original bios).

NiBiTor v5.7 dos not work on the Geforce GTX 450 and 460 Cards, and thats
why we cannot do it ourself.

Only the Geforce GTX 470 and 480 owners can use NiBiTor v5.7.

I used 260.63, but stopped because of an Nvidia control panel bug when running an external display (my tv), but I hit 50 mhz with those drivers too.

I settled on 258.96 as the best drivers for me at the time and hit 50mhz fine with those too.

I also tried the Tweakforce version of that driver, and the beta 259.31 drivers. Every driver I've used had no trouble downclocking both of my cards to 50mhz in sli.

I did notice that if I'm doing much of anything the cards would bump up to the mid level profile periodically, but mostly 50mhz was the norm.

I almost forgot to say that I'm running Win7 x64 like you.

Strange, with one Geforce GTX 460 he will hit 50mhz, both with 2 in SLI he
will not go lower then 405MHz.

no its just really sad there needs to be an extra thread for people who dont research anything before they ask. This is also why like i said, make orbum2k release that editor. I would use it since its more unified than Nibitor.

    Why so hostile anyways? :chainsaw2:
