Anyone ever try Chilada by Bud? It sounds horrendous, but it's actually really good. Bud mixed about 50/50 with Clamato, and a bit of lime. Kind of like a fizzy Bloody Mary It's a nice morning beer
My favorite beer is Kwak(hence the nick): I also love Sint Bernardus Abt Bush 12 and Gageleer, a local beer from my town: and so much more, but these are my main favorites.
I know a quad when I see one! Looked it up at beeradvocate and it sounds marvellous. I'm gonna have to get a hold of one of these.
you should really try it John, afaik, it's the same recipe as WestVleteren 12, but it's not made by the monks, so they have to give it a different name.
I have not tasted anything from WestVleteren yet because it's nearly impossible to find here as the monastery refuses to export it outside of Belgium (AFAIK). Anyway, my brother managed to get a hold of a bottle of WestVleteren 12 and he promised to share it with me during the Christmas holidays. Can't wait!
Even within Belgium, it's very very hard to get hold of. You have to make a phonecall to get an appointment to buy some at the monastery, but you can only call on designated times, and there is a limited amount available. I have been trying every time they made some for the last 2 years, but haven't got through yet. Patience is the name of the game.
Hah yeah, my brother was telling me about that. And how you have to arrive by car to pick it up, where they write down your number plate. He visited Denmark for some film festival and managed to find one single bottle in a beer outlet. Sheer luck it would seem! I can't wait to taste the holy grail of trappist beers!
they got a special beer phone lol "Please note when booking that you often can get the busy tone because the beer lines are overloaded!" http://translate.google.nl/translate?hl=nl&sl=nl&tl=en&u=http://www.sintsixtus.be/nl/brouwerij2.htm
i dont drink beer or any alcohol for that matter Except Tennents black lager (12%alc) once, it was good to drink not so good after 2L loluke:
Carsberg expensive, itz super cheap here. this is my beer of choice This or Corona, but I find myself drinking Fosters a lot as it's always on offer, 15 cans for £8 yes please
lol is it that weird? I'm not a fan of a lot of the larger here ad I haven't really tried the real ales maybe I'll give em a go
Urquell is probably my favourite pilsner. My go-to when I want something easy and refreshing. Yeah, I find it kind of weird, hehe. Lots and lots of great local beer to be found in the UK. You should try experimenting a bit, you don't know what you're missing! The American Budweiser is an incredibly flat and dull mass produced beer with no soul at all, IMO. But each to their own, of course.
