they dont get maxed out even at 5.4 ive checked already max ive seen was 96%
You're going to need a SB-E system Khalem Clock THAT to 5.4 and then we're talking, either that or AMD/Nvid need to allow for 8 GPUs.
gratz, tried with HT on/off combinations?, sometimes HT works badly xP.
tbh i only tried with ht on, thought its always better with... ill try out today
Being that HT is typically unnecessary, save for the few apps that utilize it, go ahead and try with it off. Seems you can sometimes clock higher with it off, too.
5.5ghz here i come then;-) ill let you knowin a few h;-)
Word. I wondered if you could go higher. I bet you can!
Bring it! Give me bench! ME WANT BENCH!!
Sweet as !
What voltage are you pushing?
1.65v+ my guess
And its a good gues;-) im getting two more 2600k 2m, ill see if there is any decent ones there;-) i know this chip can boot into windows at 5.5 with ht on but crashes after a few startup programs load and ask for more v,so maybe without ht it will be a bit more stable
I understand the HT destabilizes you in high-overclock situations, that's what I gather at least. Seems that Sandy Bridge is more affected by it than previous chips.
the problem is vantage loves HT. I bench 51ht and that kills 52no ht. its not really destabalizing, but needing more volts to get stable with HT. I am at 1.57v 5.2 no ht and 5.2 ht needs 1.60v to bench which I am not willing to do on air
Ouch. 1.6 is up there. Makes sense, I haven't toyed with it, so I don't really know.:nerd:
Monstrous score, congrats, are you using standard water or are you using Vapor Phase Change,Dry-ice or chilled liquid or something like that for bench at 5.3...is it 24/7 use or just benching?
seeing as you sell stuff every 2 weeks let me know when youre selling a 6990 lol
im just about to convert my garage into a mancave, have my 50" tv and projector( will be a 100" screen ) all ready to be setup, and have eyefinity already so all good
btw great results, congrats.
Thanks lads;-) im benching at ambient temp of 7-10c so the water is chilled already;-) ive managed to run a test at 1080/1500 with 5.4 on the cpu but only gained 10 points... gpus where hitting 97-102c though so i say i lost ponta due to instability.... im getting my water over the next two weeka, once i get that ill push them even harder ( got a spare 240gt in case they die so i can keep using the pc;-)
i had to resubmit my score and I got my world record points on it now
Hell yeah, no.3 in the world!!! What an effort you put there mate!!! With everything under water, I believe you'll be on the top GO!! GO!!!
At what voltages for the memory?
Just got three new 2600ks in;-) keep your fingers crossed so i get a good one finally;-)
