And Dunia itself is a modified Cryengine, of whatever version og Far Cry used.
Afaik.

The visuals are fine, the gameplay is exactly the same as FC3 from 2012. And what's with the crocodile ordered attacks..It's getting ridiculous.

 

As long as i dont have to drink weird mixtures and fight demons i wont complain. You dont have to use all of your ridiculous stuff

I also found these trance chapters the weakest missions in all FC games, hopefully they've learned their lesson and haven't included any in 6 just for the reason that it is the same franchise.
Ot at least have made them more fun, but that'd be hard to imagine.

These psychotropic trips where cool when it was done once, in FC3.
But after that it has become a very annoying cliché in the saga.
I would hope they would stop doing these in FC6. But this is Ubisoft and the story is on an island ruled by a drug cartel..........
So I bet there is going to be another one.
I also bet there will be another mission, like in FC3, where we burn a drug plantation.

If we were to look at the keyboards in Ubisoft offices, the most worn keys would surely be ctlr, c and v.

It's sad to say but, the more I see of this game the more I believe, the whole franchise needs an overhaul. I'm a huge Farcry fan, but it has become stale to say the least. 3-4-5 just looks the same gameplay wise with minor tweaks. At least 1-2-3 were all quite different.

From Farcry 3, Farcry games has been known for scaling very well with low memory latency and high memory bandwidth. Even the old 1800x cpu scaled 20-25% from just tuning the memory.
Zen 1 had no chance in farcry games VS like 9700k/9900k with high frequency memory, with low memory latency.
Zen 3 fixed most of this with big cache. Even with the big cache, the cpu loves lower latency and higher bandwidth. Too bad we can't have 4800mhz memory 1:1 on 5950x
I'm running 3866mhz 1:1 c14 flat on 5950x.

 

I absolutely hate the Candy color palette we are seeing in the vids. In FarCry we had 3 options to set to allow for way less of that Candy colors look. Guess we`ll have to use the ol Digital Vibrance slider judiciously to get rid of that look. Although the more I see the vids, the less I can see myself playing..... the animals vid is rediculous. Are the FarCry Devs on Drugs or what? I do agree... Farcry needs an overhaul. And get rid of the Dev Team and or Creative Guy coming up with this shiz.

 

It might be that 6 will be a really good fun coop shooter, it's probably just half of the fun playing solo. They've made some improvements for coop vs. New Dawn (shared progress and animal companion still seems to be available).

 

That's true. Some games still benefit from low latency memory.
I got a 3700X with memory running at 3800 CL16. The rest of timmings, as tight as I can make them.
I get a memory latency of 63ns. Which is good for a Zen2. Your Zen3, must be about 10 ns lower than mine.
When I had a 1700, I also tweaked my memory and got a decent performance boost.

But the thing is that these requirements for FC6 seem weird. They don't set these requirements based on OC.
They might have optimized the game for Ryzen. Reduce latency dependency. And managed to avoid changing threads between CCXs.
