I still get constant hitching, regardless of frame rate, also using G-sync, tried regular v-sync and the problem still persists. Capping frame rate, setting pre rendered frames to 1, tried all the suggested fixes and I still can't get rid of the hitching. I honestly should've got the fecking ps4 version instead.

I have the hitching as well. I'm wondering if patch 1.8 fixed the issue? Haven't had a chance to check.

I highly doubt it'll get fixed.

Heck no it wont get fixed, they have more important stuff to fix (like bugs in the crappy editor no one uses).

The news section has a post containing the changes but it's mostly focused in improving the map editor with a few co-op improvements and some minor fixes.

ALright thanks. I must have over looked it when I was trying to find it earlier.

    Those with hitching try this

Go to options Gfx menu; select main high option > go back in game > now go back in Gfx options and set back your old settings, now it "should be" ok again..

Also while you're at it use nvinspector or MSI AB fps limiter, e.g. 70 - 120fps if not using any vsync., same with vsync but limit to monitor Hz rate, 60fps - 60Hz.

You need to verify your files again. Apparently Ubisoft don't know how to make a patch without messing things up.

How does the game work after all the patches, crossfire? Worth buying?

So Ubisoft gave me my Season Pass access back and the patch unlocked all the content except for the Yeti DLC. And the CD Key website offered me a refund (it's still being processed though). I'm happy.

Don't know what was in that 1.8 patch, but the stuttering is just unbearable for me now. Will come back and play this when I get a G-Sync monitor I think. That maybe the only think that can fix it.

I know my system is lacking, but I really want to play this game with more than 24 frames. Does this game actually run well for the majority of people with high end rigs?

I hear this runs great on Xbox One / PS4, which is frustrating.

Have seen the xbone version running and its okay, but not great. Very low fov (maybe 60) and the locked 30 fps looked pretty ruff to me, but maybe I notice it more due to playing PC games all the time.
Haven't seen the PS4 version thou, it may be better.

G-Sync certainly does not fix the issue. Even with G-Sync I find this game a stuttery messs, on my system it is anyway.

For those of you that are thinking about buying this game and care about a graphically smooth experience, DO NOT buy it at its current state. They're on patch 1.8 and have not addressed the stuttering issue. Apparently there are a few people out there that aren't having any problems (or aren't that picky about stuttering).

Example, friend of mine says FC4 runs perfect on his machine (7970). This is coming from someone who plays with VSYNC off on a 60hz monitor so it's tearing galore and the stuttering is just as bad on his machine. He doesn't notice it. I don't know how he doesn't:bang: ??????

I will say that I've completed about 40% of the game and haven't touched it in 3 weeks or so due to it being not a very enjoyable experience because of the stuttering. If it was smooth it would be a great game. Playing it infuriates me that a company would release such a pile of garbage. Like, do the testers not fcking play it on their machines?? They are the same god damn parts that we use!
