Cool game, not the best game since Half-Life as some reviews stated, but okay. Ran very good most of the time, everything maxed, 1024x769*32 2x AA. Finally finished it tonight.. Kinda disappointed over the ending though :/

Cool Headshot:D I've gotta get back into playing it, been on Guru too long lol... I heard the ending is funny or something, but I want it as a surprise.

Anyway, congrats on finishing it, now there's multiplayer for ya and cool stuff they're gonna make for it:D

Re: The game in openGL looks the same?

no not a single thing is different except 1 thing and that is bulletholes on bodies.
everything else is just the same and i know since i have finished it in opengl mode :)

drowning is there also and so is the flashbang, like i said, everything is there and looks exactly the same so no need to worry :)
although it doesnt look the same if you use an ati card, opengl looks like pure **** on an ATI card to say the least...not even close to what the game is supposed to look like.
but who would want to run in opengl on a ati card anyway? they are made for d3d :)

I get graphical glitches when running in OpenGL... some other problems come up sometimes too... Full black screen... after it loads it goes blue then stays black.

So the PS20 work as good in OpenGL? Do they run any faster?

You still have to deal with one long load at the start of each level but it seems to load a bit faster than the demo.

It extremely slowdown especially indoor and flashlight is turn on.

Damn NVIDIA , Even if i overclock my vga to 5950Ultra Level it still unplayable @1024*768 max detail MINUS AA ,AF.

But i'll post some shots anyway :)

All pics are 1024*768 resized to 800*600

With the latest nVidia drivers (56.72) I actually got a respectable performance increase in this game :)

Now in those laggy areas like the big room with the tanks in Carrier I get a decent high 20-30 FPS which is better than 15 :p

I can pretty much run through every level now smoothly in 1280x960 High details.

I get about 50 - 60 Fps When i set the detail to Medium and i put the Filtering to Trilener .... very smooth for me but when i set it to high .. it go to 20 to 30 fps .. i think i should upgrade to an FX card .. but even on medium settings its very impressive

Cool Xmen ;) I personally recommend a Radeon 9800 pro if you're looking at getting a new card :) but an FX is still ok.

Im still debating .. ati or nvidia .. more leaning to ATi .. but it cost $$$$ .... same with FX

IMHO FX is NOT OK In DirectX9 , in this game the card suffer so much from performance loss when using High settings .

I can say this cause i'am using it , if you want Pure performance in DirectX9 Games , get Radeon 9800 Pro/XT

P.S. I can only use Ps 1.1 If i want Playable Framerate @1024*768 >high settings , If Ps 2.0 is forced , performance drop is so damn much.

1024x768x32, all high settings no AA/AF running at 30 to 50FPS outside, 50 to 100 FPS inside

What drivers are you using ? cus..here i run far cry everything set on very high even ultra shadows i get about 50-70 fps average some slow bits but playable around 30-45 som peaks of 100 or higher....with the new nvidia drivers including the far cry patch...=/

I find the game runs worse when you got everything set on medium...

the patch is suppose to improve shader performance on very high settings on FX cards
