    The 970 definitely still holds its own as long as you don't need 100% of the eyecandy turned on. I play stuff at 1440p and get reasonable fps still. I refuse to pay current prices for 2 year old gpus, so... we'll see what happens in the future.

    My guess is the removal of things like this is to do with networking, wanting to simplify what is sent and received from client machines as much as possible to lessen network traffic and because of that the game has suffered.

    To be honest I'm still waiting for a sequel to Far Cry, as far as I'm concerned everything past the original have nothing to do with Far Cry, it's just some other type of video game bearing the Far Cry name and it's being taken for a ride in a different car and being driven by a different driver.... if that makes sense.. haha.. different engine / different developer, with nothing to do with the original.
