... I doubt that would be the case if you had to play on the hardware we had when those games originally shipped. Often it was a very low-res, pixellated mess trying to be a game of some kind, in the very beginning. Doom as it originally shipped and played reminded me of a county fair and the "shooting fish in a barrel" experience (not that I've ever been fortunate enough to actually see that, but I have read about them.) No, I don't miss the old days at all--months and months between notable game releases, years in between tiny hardware advances, and then they came at ridiculous prices. Nope--today is the Golden Age of Computer Gaming, imo!
In love with this game. The Faith Seed region I really loved. That region alone was worth the money. 2/3 of the way done now. Some of the game play gets old but over all, Love it!
I get the feeling that today's developers dont have any affinity with games and do it just for the money. The difference is HUGE for 10 years of development. In a bad way that is!
The Golden Era(1993-2003) in gaming is gone away long time ago. Now,very few studios make true games for gamers. Many of them make games for investors and for statistic/data miners corp. Far Cry 5 is a good game for today's standard, investors and stats will agree.
Not sure what to say about this, FC2 was my intro to the FC series but it had some deeply flawed gameplay implementation, FC3 refined this making the fun stuff fun and the dull stuff gone. FC4 just felt like a total copy and paste job of FC3 if it introduced new features they were so unremarkable that I never noticed them in the 60 minutes I played the game, yeah I got bored of that one real quick and FC5 just looks well like the last two games, in fact The Jimquistion didn't a brilliant bit about it this week and shockingly it's true, I hadn't noticed until I watched this video but Ubisoft has basically taken all it's core franchises and gradually turned them ALL into the exact same game.
Damn right, been playing the Witcher 3 for the last 2 months, never completed it the first time round and now with all the DLCs being out I opted to give it another try and I am now at the point were I have very little left to do but complete the main quest, and I really do not want to do that. I am sad that once I've finished that's it, no more, so I am holding off exploring everything and anything I can.
With you 100%. I did the same. I really hope they create more Witcher games. They left so many options open for new content. I hear there is a witcher show coming out on netflix!!! Sorry to get off topic. I have never played a Farcry game until now. Worth it to me. Sure, it's not the best game I have played but it's very fun.
................ there ain't a REAL OBJECTIVE from any Far Cry franchise ........... above most....Far cry 2.... Funniest thing is that...... in FARCRY 5 ...open world.... there's no "prone".... and somewhat...the " animal skinning" neither...which seems less survivalist.... Anyway...... it is being sold like breads!!!
Excellent video. it was exactly what i was talking about. good point he mentioned Beyond good and evil 2 (that it might get the same treatment). It is rather worrying.
FC1, i was blown away at the beauty of the game and used to marvel at things like shooting fish in the tropical paradise. The memories i have of FC1 are very fond memories. FC2 not so much, didn't like it. FC3 was better than 2 and FC4 was OK. Like many here i believe FC5 is a good game but it's not made it's way into my huge games list just yet. I'll wait it out and get the complete edition or GOTY edition once it's £20 or whatever. I'm disappointed @ some aspects of the game like not being able to shoot through wooden fences and corrugated metal sheets. It's seems they really cheaped out on the games physics which is a shame really.
FC5 is the first one in the series that I didn't buy immediately I guess I'll upgrade my GTX970 first when Nvidia releases it's next GPU architecture. EDIT: would it even be possible to pre-order GTX2070 before the miners get them all?
Dont worry about them anymore, its wearing off, also now they're making mining specific gpus (asrock is one of them).. I saw a few are already selling whole racks.. One had 5x 1080ti and 2x 1060, other 8x 1080 and of course with absurd prices, 1000€ per card by 1080ti.. lol I would never pay more then 300€ for that card and even that is a lottery if its going to last long.
Far cry 5 should play great on a gtx 970. I can't see a difference between a 1060 6gb vs 1060 3gb. Both set on high with some ultra settings. I would think a gtx 970 would be close...ish? Never owned one. Always heard the 970/980 rocked tho and still do.
Guess that is what happens when it is not built on TWIMTBP Gimpworks software. Runs well on all PC hardware, not just one brand.
Why do so many gamers think people are robots who all have to think alike? The lack of acceptance of differing opinions is so childlike that people should be embarrassed unless they are actually a child. I thought Far Cry 1 was bad like every other Crytek game, and Far Cry 2 a mixture of brilliant and awful that eventually left a memory of mediocre, but i have no issue with people who love one or even both games. Someone remind me why we all need to like the same things??
It uses HBAO+ Checkmate hater. I like FC1 until the trigen dudes showed up. Similar to Crysis honestly.
