Nice one. But where did you get that 4830 from? It would have been good if you'd mentioned at least one line about it. I'm very curious about that!!

Removing 180.42 and reinstalling 178.24 drivers I get ~60fps in
Ultra High 1360x768 8xAA --Except Shading and Shadows to Very High--.
Not the best but at least its a temporary (I hope) solution to enjoy the game.

Possibly a forced option due to another effect being maxed out. Some games do it to. BF2 comes to mind. Will not let you use AA until all settings are maxed.

The article has some minor updates. Now also included the 1024MB model of the Radeon HD 4870, 4830 and yesterdays 9800 GX2 results that where updated.

If one GX2 already fails, you honestly believe that two will work ? Nope.

I'm just trying to get some hope !!!!!!
As this is the only option I have right now.
Because I think the 280gtx is in its end of life.So shoving $400+ for it would be insane.

Just give it a try with one GX2, try some older drivers. If performance fails, NVIDIA will surely fix the FC2 issue. In fact this issue already was raised to the NVIDIA driver team.

Great and speedy update. Seems like the 4870 1GB and the GTX260 216 are the sweet spots for HD gaming in this case. Great review Hil-dawg.

I was gonna buy this game until I found out its got cropped widescreen. No wonder it has surprising performance, its just stretching+cropping 4:3 resolutions.
