now that you told me you wanna test the Flamethrower i think i'll pass. lol

some games the 4870 is better, some the 260 and always remember that cheaper isn't always bad, remember the 8800GT compared to the GTS/GTX? cheaper and almost faster.

I think the 4870 was crippled by the new ATI hotfix drivers in this test - anyhow i'll soon know as I expect to get the game in the post tomorrrow....

    lol dude

The GTX 280 is going good at 1600 x 1200 , the new driver seems to be great too.

Confirmed on 180.42 with a 9800 GX2, the performance is awful.

It starts off ok, and then dips into the single digits. Moving to lower settings helps but there are obviously BIG problems with this card and FC2.

Luckily I have another machine with a 280 otherwise I would be gutted.

NV needs to stop promoting SLI, its a waste of money and more often then not, SLI users are left waiting weeks for working drivers.

    Single card FTW.

omg the one card that fails so bad is the one ive got is it just me or do US GX2 owners want a friggin refund!! i know i do

i might cancel the pre order not worth the hassel that i had in crysis and warhead

EDIT: hi Hilbert would it be possible for another test to be done using early drivers? like the 178.24

    cheers :)

It's of little consolation, but turning SLI off does fix the problem.

I'm ditching my 9800GX2 in favour of another 280 GTX. Great card but SLI is a "hit and miss" technology at best and I've had enough of it for the moment.

ty!, but two questions i cant fast-find

Will farcry 2 have capped-graphics in dx9? i dont mean real-dx10 effects, i mean capped like crysis, aka "very high on dx10" and "high on dx9"

If yes, will tweaking .cfgs allow you to set very high on dx9?

excuse me if this is on the benchmark (will check at home xP), dx10 vs dx9 performance difference?

Also... in which countrys it was released and how many gb's do i need on my HDD? T_T

Seems like nvidia wants us to ditch our 9 series cards for 200 series cards so they get enough sold to kick us in the butt with a new series !!!!!!!!!!!
    money down the drain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    agin & again & again & again& again ...........

I dont have time to test but it is unplayable in 1680 x 1050 (All maxed, AA 2x) in SLI mode but fine if you disable SLI.
