As above, since relocating from the UK to the Med i need to rejig my WCing set up, the layout can wait until i upgrade the CPU/Ram/Mobo with Ryzen 2 so for now the fans will be changed.

So best fans for pushing air through a 120.4 rad with dense fins please.

    Cheers

    Yeah, i bought 5 myself, 4x120mm and a 140mm, very noisey though.

I have to admit I haven't built the system yet.
I already have six Corsair SP120's that I am replacing with the Noctua's.

The Corsairs at 12V can be heard through a door. I'm hoping the Noctua's will be quieter, and if not, will be trying them at 9/7V, and see if they can cool enough.

The problem i have with them is they need a fair bit of voltage to get them spinning in the first place. Once running i drop the speed to the minimum on my fan controller and they are ok, i only turn them up during intense gaming as its +35c here at the mo. Anyway i booted my rig the other day, started gaming (DCS) and after a while glanced up to the overlay to see both my 2700k and 1080Ti in the high 80c, the fans hadnt spun up so my waterloop had no cooling, just a couple of case fans. Something to think about.

Good point, i hadn't expected anything like that.
I will be setting them with a manual fan controller to 7V or 12V. Depends on the noise really.
Might try 12V with LNA if its too loud, and compare to 7V without LNA.

looks like my VRM waterblocks might not arrive until early next week, so may have to wait another week....

Good high static pressure fans, designed to push air through rads unlike other case fans that focus mainly on mass airflow throw the case
I have EK Vardars, 6 of 'em in my build, very satisfied
