Isn't this just the e3 trailer again? Anyway https://www.gamereactor.eu/news/674403/Fallout+76s+multiplayer+is+not+what+everybody+expects/ Bethesda's Pete Hines on Fallout 76's multiplayer "is not what everybody expects"
wow i love the way the new game looks as well as the added creature and plants/trees diversity but i don't know if i like the way they're going with the online mode only and lack of story and what-not.
Looks like a modded Fallout 4. Pretty sure Fallout 5 is in the works secretly, be stupid of them to not make a single player Fallout sequel. Considering this game is a prequel to everything. Makes sense that it is online.
So this is just a cut down unfinished mmo that will be released in November, basically a rerun of the ES online launch only this time with fallout skins, going by the way they are drip feeding almost no real details about this game, i mean what is the big secret here. Lol
No NPCs? Sorry, the game is dead before it's even finished. That's not going to work. Not even in dreams. Similar concept (player-driven world) was in Ultima Online back in the stone ages of MMORPGs, and even that game had some NPCs, and would be completely dead empty without them. What methhead comes up with these ideas?
Full sandbox is possible. But only if it is truly sandbox. And you can build houses, farms, mills, ... with your guild. Set ownership, sell them. Define access to areas where guild has certain property presence, and so on. Basically like real world. Except in game violence is acceptable way to compete over property. Huge connected worlds of Minecraft or Terraria would be popular too. PvPvE system where you can't destroy building, you do not own or are not abandoned. But judging from ARK world size... for server to be interesting, one would need sufficient area to host 2000+ players. And apparently, to enjoy game like this, you would need solid 20+ ppl guild, optimally 50+ ppl cooperating. Not impossible, but too ambitious for Bethesda. I think they will not show much imagination.
It looks nice, just puzzled why it is MMO? and not single player. I think this experiment will fail miserably.
From my understanding the next big singleplayer game released will be Starfield, not another Fallout, and then after Starfield a new TES game... maybe after those two we will get a proper Fallout game?
Probably the same schedule as with TES: - make good game - make it online to pull in fans - milk it even though hardly anybody's interested -switch to next IP -repeat Copy paste for their other franchises, and Fallout 76 is the best example, they made good fallout games, now go online, then switch to another (new) IP with Starfield, then get back to TES as a singleplayer game...
^^.......If the expansion pack was released before the actual game ever came out judging by the amount of content they keep stating WON'T be in the game. lol
