Get ready to take another one for the team.

    Somehow a 780 is the same as a 290x, and a 550Ti is like a 7870. :infinity:

Wow, I think I am below Recommended for the first time. Only slightly, but still. :D

Sounds like potential trouble for AMD cards.

Sounds like nobody helped them during development, or that it's choke full of NVIDIA stuff.

This is a very big release, and there is no mention of GameWorks whatsoever.

Can we just be realistic and think about the connection between the 7870 and the consoles?

I mean if you're testing minimum specs for a game its much easier to just not test the AMD side and say whatever gpu the console is.

I feel like developers have been using the consoles for the past year as a minimum example.

Bethesda have always been pro-Nvidia, at least since 2009.

If true, it could show that the the average or maybe a little lower of PCs is already surpassing the consoles in performance.

And, at the specs, I don't think there's much nvidia biased stuff... I bet there's more people around with a 280X than a 550ti, for instance, so I think it's right to set an expected minimum there. Still great GPUs.

I was worried about star wars battlefront but I'm running the beta on ULTRA @ 60+ FPS with 8GB of RAM (mind you it's overclocked).

    The 4790K @ 4.7Ghz helps a lot too I bet.

But my HD7970 is still kicking strong.

I find it hilarious, when they pair an i7 with an fx, but at least they realized now an fx8350 (usual recommendation) isn't that great, so gamedevs/publishers start to change it to the fx9590.

This is ridiculous. The 550 Ti is at least three times slower than the 7870. I know that GPUBoss is not exactly a benchmark site, but WTF, look at the specs. It's like comparing a PS4 to a low end Intel-integrated laptop. Same for the 780 and the 290x. The 290x is as fast as the 980 in modern games, an the 780 is as fast as the R9 280x/7970GHz. This is stupid and done on purpose.

I doubt the gap would have changed since then, don't think either side have done much in the way of DX9 performance improvements.

This is another bs system req. as always. It reminds me of FC4 and Witcher 3 where recommended GPU is gtx770 or r9 290.

Later in the game 290 was pulling 40% higher fps. I wound not trust this one bit.

    Completely retarded.

CPUs with 8 threads? Really? That won't be necessary until around Fall 2016 and onward.

780 and 290X? Not right at all.

nVIDIA must be paying for this crap.

Hah 290X for recommended specs - what are they smoking over at Bethesda? Graphics look pretty sub-par in pre release videos so far..
