Building in FO4 is like cooking a meal just to throw it away.

I pre-ordered Fallout 4 because I loved Fallout 3. Gave it some time for the bugs to be ironed out while I played other games. I finished Witcher 3 this week and started playing Fallout 4. 10 hours in and I am ready to quit. I can't count the moments of frustration this games puts me through in comparison to W3. Pathfinding is ridiculous. Following any of the other characters around is a chore as they constantly stumble into visible or invisible walls and get stuck. My own character got stuck on the front side of the power armour when trying to access it. Ridiculous! Lip-syncing fails in every conversation, usually by the second sentence. Sometimes parts of the conversation are skipped to get back into sync. Really??
The story seems pretty cool, but the pace is so slooow. The area is vast, but instead of in W3 there is just nothing going on. Running through the empty wasteland isn't exciting for very long. The constant loading, sometimes for very small areas, is simply not appropriate any longer. Come on Bethesda, get with the technological evolution.
And don't start me on the settlement build-up "mini game". If I wanted to play play a build-up game, I would play Anno 2055 and not an RPG. What were they thinking??
I am sure there are some gems ahead if I only plow on. But I am not willing to spend hours on end on this promise. Sorry for the rant / just sooo disappointed...

Try maximum performance (for steadier Volt). But seriously this game doesn't need oc..and I assume this is not the only title that brings problem to you (this said your oc is not stable or too much for 24/7 use)

Strange indeed. Although, I'm running off WD Black 2TB. The load speed does seem faster on my end. Also, I have not install any mods or make tweak to the game. Playing it on win10.

Is TAA Antialiasing actually Nvidia Gameworks?

    What is TAA?

That has to be the most pathetic implementation of PhysX ive ever seen.

In mirrors edge youd shoot cloth and it would leave bullet holes, or if shot at too much it would tear the thing apart. Yet, when shooting that barn door, nothing but wood chips and no holes. Even Far Cry had support for bullet holes in most areas.

Like, whyd they even bother. I just looks soooo ****.

The TAA in FO4 is in not Gameworks. TAA = Temporal anti-aliasing. TXAA is Gameworks and if used you will find the file GFSDK_TXAA.win64 in the game directory AFAIK.

How much pathetic is your post..? This is -at last- a good patch with one so much needed feature added ( HBAO+ ) and eye candy debris which while they seem quite bigger than they should they add to immersion.

    Better check again.

Oh, I see now that you have AMD gpu, bad luck but maybe they will add similar AO.

Would have really liked some seriousoptimization vs half-assed gameworks features. Still avoiding urban areas as FPS drops are horrible unless shadows are turned down to ugly mode.

Also a working SLI profile where the sun doesn't bleed through terrain & buildings would be nice too NVIDIA.
