When I load a save from Fallout 4 it instantly crashes to the desktop. Anyone else that was lucky enough to have this card to help me with that issue? I think it's a driver thingy, but we'll see.

Note 2: New game didn't help also. It crashes to desktop while playing.

turn off weapon debris, the game requires a patch to fix this and both users and nvidia have been in touch with the developer about it but nothing has come of it.

Never played this game before or anything uses the creation engine.

Question, is there or ever tried deleting your config file/folder? Where all of your graphic settings and what not are located? And if so, ever tried doing that, if not, try that, relaunch the game, then load your saved game and see what happens.

If your saved file is in that folder, make sure to make a backup before doing so, thanks.

    Worth a try.

Yeah, it's fixed with that setting off. Thanks a lot. ;)

    Get this installed

    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4598

this is basically mandatory for almost any Bethesda game using the horrendously outdated creation engine. You could try and reenable the debris setting and see if it fixes it. You do need all the DLC for this community patch to work.

You can actually get that patch in the game in the Mods section. First thing I install.

Tested it, patch does not fix this issue. It's a shame.

Well good patch to have anyway and you already know what setting to disable to be able to play.

Shame, I would still keep this patch though it fixes an insane amount of bugs and is still being updated.

    I would also recommend

Fallout 4 Script Extender (must have for most mods)
    Boston FPS fix
    Faraway Area Reform
    Insignificant Object Remover
    Spring Stutter Fix
    Texture Optimisation Project

These are just some fixes and performance tweaks to get a better overall experience.

    My personal fav enb is

    Enhanced Wastelands Preset

You will get a performance hit and you will need to follow the steps to install properly. But it makes the game look so much better.

The game is on an old ass engine dating back to Morrowind on the NetImmersive engine. Which then became the Gamebryo engine for Oblivion, Fallout 3, NV. Then Skyrim used what is called the Creation engine, which was based off of Gamebryo which was based off NetImmersive. Fallout 4 and 76 both use this engine and its a terrible out dated engine. The sooner it dies the better.

This is why so many performance mods exist and a community made "unofficial patch" mod has existed for every Bethesda game since Morrowind (from what I remember).

I love how Todd Howard pitched Fallout 76 using the Creation engine still because modders are familiar with it.

Ie. let modders fix our broken games.

Hey dude. Try decrease gpu core clock for about 20 mhz. I read rumours about sometimes crashing 3080 on factory clock. Also i think you know this. But only thats my tip :)

That problem was fixed with latest driver. 456.71 makes that issues go away.
