    I was wondering something?
Just how many dead people are on Facebook. Because inherently people pass away.
As I understand you have to produce a death certificate to get that dead person taken down.
Maybe Facebook now has around 1Billion dead users. What will it be in 50 years time.
No doubt Facebook will have more so called users than the population of the planet.
That's some revenue on Adverts from mostly deceased users...

With young people being less active on facebook and older people remain on it, it's just a matter of time before facebook becomes a digital graveyard.

I wonder a lot about "friends" I meet on steam and have not seen online in a very long time.

Dead or not, for them is just about numbers, money and keeping shareholders happy.
Ethical standards, morality? This is so NOT suited for their standards.

How do the dead generate click or ad revenue? Their revenue is activity based. I personally have 3 dead accounts that I've deactivated for deceased relatives. But at any time I could log back in. I think I left one deleted and dormant for 3 years...signed on for giggles, like nothing happened.

I personally have never had a Facebook account.

I think they switched policies at some point. Regarding deleting vs deactivating acts...

I've done both over the years. It doesn't seem to make any difference.

That's a bummer to hear; it would have been nice to have hoped back in the early days of that company deleted could have meant so... not that they were ever ethical..
