Facebook to buy WhatsApp for $19 billion

Funny, I was just reading WhatsApp's TOS few weeks ago and decided not to get one because of it. I don't use Facebook and not planning to get one. Seems like I will still be using good old phone calls and SMS's. No Skype on my phone.

I well, good for WhatsApp, prolly good for people who use both.

 

They will ruin it.
Anyway, there is a swedish developers who are working on a new messenger Hemlis and they claim it will be also secure.
I hope it comes out soon, cause now is the time.

Glad I got on board with FB stock back in June '13, loving this 185% run up with more in site ... :thumbup:

 

$19billion so the boys in the know at the top of facebook can once again have access to the flagged cache of preteen and teen tits and ass picture/video sexting messages that they were no longer getting access to when the girls all moved to using whatsapp... I guess they think it is worth it.

currently deciding what to replace Whatsapp with...
I've had Hangouts installed for a while (very much a second back up service for me as I don't trust google). used kik in the past but not overly keen on using it - nice UI but lacks security. Telegram is now installed and hopefully hemlis will be released soon for further testing...
