I still think the character models look better in the original game. The new models look a bit "off" and it doesn't help that the shadowing/SSAO is a bit flickery and distracting in Anniversary.

P.S. I created a custom 3200x2000 resolution yesterday as suggested elsewhere and on the forum but it did little to reduce the game's blurriness. Thankfully, the new patch may fix that, assuming it is out now.

You used geodsato for that, or just Nv control panel ? Gedosato can use lanczos resampling, and Nv scaling is only bilinear (it gives blury picture). As you can see, my screenshots are very sharp

    it's already out

This is how game looks right now after patch. Still there's no comparision to gedosato lanczos downsampling and postprocessing settings

Two patches in under a week of release? Did they even beta test this game before releasing it? Good Lord Microsoft!:bang:

I don't think Microsoft had anything to do with this though they were the publishers but I believe Lionhead or whatever studio Lionhead contracted to do the PC version/port of the Anniversary Edition is more responsible for this. :)

The first (second?) patch fixed the excessive blurriness for me and the game now looks much better. However, the anti-aliasing is still pretty poor so I am looking forward to trying the new DSR option in the new v344.11 driver on my GTX 980, an option that allows you to downsample directly from the driver's game profile. This game is not that demanding so DSR should work great with this game.

Has anyone found a working AA compatibility flag for this game yet? None of the ones I've tried (for Unreal Engine 3 games) work.

If you use a gamepad it should play pretty much identical to Fable: The Lost Chapters and if you use a mouse+keyboard setup then the current beta branch update allows for changing most of the interface controls to better ones. :)
(Plus the update fixes a few more bugs.)

However if you've already played Fable (With or without Lost Chapters.) then the game will be pretty much identical even keeping the small enclosed areas which is something they really could have changed with the UE3 engine.
(The areas are pretty nicely crafted but they are also very small, I guess it was a XBox 1 memory limitation.)

If you've never played this Fable before and want a light-weight action-focused RPG with a distinctly British charm then, yes...probably.

The thing is though that this Anniversary edition really does not improve on the original Fable: The Lost Chapters release in any major way except for the visuals (then it's debatable whether they're actually improved beyond the texture quality) and adding controller support so you might be better off just picking up the original which can be bought very cheaply.

Graphics in fable TLCH still looks good but Anniversary has not only better textures.

Gedosato is using lanczos resampling, I doubt NV DSR will look better. But this game needs not only dowsnampling for perfect picture quality, default contrast and saturation is lifeless, so only gedosato/sweetfx can fix that.

This version is much better than Fable The Lost Chapters , I finished it in 25h , melee oriented character, I didnt saw bugs , performance is better , the new UI/Interface is amazing using XBOX Controller , you only need a few hours to get used to it.

But the game have the same quests of Fable TLC , so if you finished Fable TLC , nothing really new , only Heroic Mode , but its a idiot mode , you get lower XP,cash etc.
