Alonso to honda could leave button retirement
Great over take by Hamilton to get in the lead.
I hope bianchi gets better.
Damn .....I'm looking at the photos of the wrecked marussia and it is not looking good...... Eyewitnesses are saying the car went under the recovery vehicle ... I Hope Jules make it
Bianchi was brought by ambulance and police escort to the next hospital because the helicopter wasn't allowed to start?
I thought no helicopter is immediately causing a red flag?
according to this, he's being operated right now. Status is risky.
Altho this newspaper is not really reliable...
FIA update on Jules Bianchi's condition:
I have a bad feeling about this. :-/
Nasty race conditions, very nasty crash.
Footage of Bianchi crash:
Man this looks bad, can't believe he survived.
Yeah I just saw the footage and OMG .... unbelievable.
1) He came in at full speed, I think that's a 250 KPH in that corner.
2) He hits the bullozer / crane-machine full in the front and side of his car.
3) The crash impact actually lifted that bulldozer up in the sky.
4) He's still alive .. really if he comes out of this it'll be a miracle
5) The marshals working at the scene all had angels on their shoulders, with all the people there some could have gotten killed.
It is shameful and negligence from the FIA that when there are people working on the track that there is:
a) is not a pace car on the track
b) at least a double yellow flag so that all drivers come to almost a standstill at the problem area.
The FIA is at fault here badly ... especially with the rain conditions at that moment. They are 100% responsible for what happened.
I've seen that same video from a wider angle and the marshall in the White tower to the right of the truck is actually waving a GREEN flag, what the hell were they thinking?
Hope he makes it.
I think the way it works is that the yellow flag is given before the problem area.
Waving that green flag means that after the (passing) corner where they where active they can go full-on in race mode again.
When there's marshalls on circuit there should be double yellow flags waved through that entire sector as far as I'm aware.
After seeing that video im surprised he is still alive! Come on Jules, you can pull through!
I don't understand why he was driving so fast... It was double flag situation after all.
I sure hope that he survives.
There are pictures that show there were green flags btw
I have to agree.
I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but it seems pretty obvious that a safety car should be called when a tractor is operating in a dangerous area. The wet conditions make it even more imperative.
A marshall died in Canada last season because he was rushing to clear a car that was in a dangerous area, he was rushing because there was no safety car.
The race director made a serious mistake and it's not the first time.
