ATI added a profile for F1 2010 in the 10.9 Catalyst Application Profiles that accompanied the 10.9 WHQL drivers, that's likely why. F1 2010 runs superbly for me with CrossFireX and that's not something you can say about the majority of new games because ATI are usually appallingly slow at supporting new titles normally.

    Hmmm, strange.

I run the game at 1080p 8xAA maxxed settings and get 60 fps V Sync locked, Afterburner reports that GPU usage is around 85%ish for both my GPUs.

I deleted my replay file completely, then started the game and at the first EGO video that comes up I alt-tabbed and set the new replay file that had appeared to read only. This disables the end-of race replays completely (Couldn't give a toss about that.) but it stops all activity during the game...

It runs really well for me, at around 50 - 60FPS with High settings (one ULtra) and 8MSAA. I have seen it drop a couple of times but not below 50 as far as i know. I haven't really overclocked my card (but apparently this one in particular is a demon OC'er) or my CPU yet, well i mucked around with Turbo EVO but i'm not happy with the voltage.

I was getting 30 - 40FPS with everything on Ultra at 1600 x 1200 but i can't really expect to run this game maxed out at 60FPS. I am quite happy with the way it's performing bearing in mind i only have 2GB on Win 7 and it's not in Dual Channel and i haven't overclocked anything yet really.

Yea the game runs like Dirt 2 in SLI. Not amazing, not bad. Just a decent 70-90% usage.

for changing to dx11 totaly, u need 2 things.

    1 . hardware_settings_config.xml

    <directx forcedx9="false" />
    save,
    make this xml read only.

    2 . hardware_settings_info.xml
    find dx11="false" , change to dx11="true"
    save, make read only.

Get in to game. And also making replay.pbf , 0 bytes and readonly surely improves long race stutters and lags. Not so good fps increase but...

and yes, i am also getting low fps 30-40 and low gpu usage max 60 still.

Does dx11 make a difference to anything?

For me IQ is exactly the same, HDR lighting is maybe a bit more realistic (not sure tho). On my ATI system I get better performance with DX11(60fps steady) than on DX9 (same as dirt2), but on my Nvidia system DX9 works bad (40fps while driving and gpu@45%) but with DX11 it gets even worse! With DX11, my fps drops down from 40-60fps(dx9) to 30-40fps? ;)

My performance definitely takes a drop with DX 11 but it isn't that much, from 50 - 60 to 40 - 50, i was surprised by this because others were saying they get better performance. Now i see HaZe303 latest post it seems the better performance is with ATi cards since the other time i saw someone say that it was an ATi card too

it's practically the same for me, dx9 or dx11.. just faster loading times.

ps: if you're on dx11, don't enable AA to avoid the UFO lights bug.

Yes, and much faster loading times as TheClit said. Specially with my nvidia card, ATI cards get better loading times but not as fast as with nvidia? Strange?

have you guys tested nHancer, lots parameters to tweak for SLI performance ?

currently installing F1 2010, will test with modded 258.96 driver (with removed SLI Mod crash code which original 258.96 has)

    EDIT ///
Had first runs: SLI wasn't being used for this game. Gpu usage for card 2 = 0%

Game wasn't visible in nv game list, so I added it myself, appears as "f1_2010_game.exe" only.

    Try #2 , SLI, but card 2 doesn't go 3D Perf mode...Gpu usage card 1 = 99%, card 2 = ~44%.

    But...I had over 60fps..saw 71fps while facing a concrete block !

Had two very long interrupts...2-4 sec long..thought nvidia driver would crash, but it didnt.

I bet old driver with SLI disabled would make this game play WELL on GTX 460!

OK, SLI woking decently now, both cards @ 66% usage now, not 60fps all time, but I also switched all gfx settings in-game I could, to Ultra ! 40-60fps is what I get, in 2048x1152.

In nvcpl, add the game if it isn't listed, then set it's SLI setting to AFR2.
    AFR1 gives 18fps

    fw 258.96
