There are afew posts in other threads regarding the game, but nothing official So anyone here who has it, can you write up a short review about the game? Hows the performance on low end/mainstream/high end machines? (any improvement over the beta demo version)?
Hmm ok. There is a little testing thingy that comes with the game so you can see how your rig is performing. Here is my result: Average fps: 56 Lowest fps: 32 Highest fps: 113 This is at 1280/960, everything high, 2AA/4AF, no softshadows. My card is set to High Quality in the Nvidia control panel. PS: Its released here in The Netherlands Maybe its nice to see, when the game is "released" , some results from other posters.
Hehehe... well the review is out on gamespot.com and it scored 9.1 usually once its reviewed at gamespot.com its on most retail shelves! DAMN Average fps is @ 56 on an overclocked 7800GTX with 2GB of system ram??? HOLY CRAP, thats one demanding game... i sure hope they release patches to fix the performance... either by FEAR or by ATi/NVidia!!!
Lol yeah its definately a demanding game hehe ( also not ery optimized ). Aah nice to see your test results Cybermarine. Not bad for an 6800GT. The gap between your card and mine is not that big. I was hoping to see a liitle bit more difference between the 2 to be honost. Makes me think again buying a 550$ card
Hey man, ur card will slaugther in BF2, its more intensive when in 64 Player servers, also dont forget UT2007 !
what do u guys think of the mp action? i love it, slow mo, standerd deathmatch, i love this game for online play. finally a game i like better that the original ut for online play / feel of the game.
They are releasing a patch on the 18th Oct to address some issues with the game, 18th Oct is the world-wide release date but there have been a few stores that have broken it
Got that right, Quake 4 is releasing that day too ...But to me the 25th is going to be the longest since am buying CoD2 xD
Where did you learn this? And what issues is it supposed to address? Also, the guys who were lucky enough to pick it up early, are there even servers hosted for multiplayer? I thought Vivendi/Sierra would wait until the 18th to make sure pirated/early store release copies' multiplayer wouldn't be playable, I am surprised they already have the official servers up and running.
