That's a whole lotta SKUs for a product that isn't going to sell very well...

Considering most ryzen zen 2 chips dont overclock as high as their boost (not counting 3600), a520 should be sufficient for most people, unless A520 will limit ram / fclk speeds too

Perfect fit for a mini-PC with a 4400GE with 16GB of dual channel RAM.

the A320 was the best sold chipset in AM4 despite that you can get B450 for generaly around 20 Euro more and everything better with it.
the B450 have just passed in front when the X570 appear in shop.

i don't have any problem to stay locked at boost speed and more on load...and i am in "auto" in nearly everything in bios.
    really an easy CPU.

For PC builders or OEMs? Because I could see how OEMs would buy the A320 all the time, because they don't tend to support overclocking anyway and they just want a basic functioning system. But for most home builders, sometimes it's as little as $10 more for a B350 or B450, where I don't get why anyone would buy A320.

I think that AMD's priority is to have better numbers, so why not release a highly successful chipset just because home builders will prefer to spend a little bit more for a better solution?

Most OEM are still Intel, but both yes and most on APU (Ryzen G 3 or 5).
And i don't get why myself... but people does (exemple when i bough my B450 it was the only box while there was 10 A320 box when the shop recieved parts)

I used an A320 for an office build a few months back. At the time B350-B450 were a lot more than that at least here in my part of Canada.

For any normal person, or office build, there is absolutely no improvement from A320 to B350, so why spend more, even if it's just a few bucks.

Again... I'm not asking why the chipset is released, I'm asking why a single mobo manufacturer is releasing so many variants with it...

Because people want the cheapest, yet the one that ticks all their boxes.

Just like with some people with b550 I don't see some people purchasing A520 boards either because they are releasing far too late and they already have something they are happy with or have something better on the radar that they want to purchase.
