No, its a USB dac on a pcie<>usb bridge

just another source for ISR latency.

What latency we talking about here? Microseconds? Nanoseconds? Difference between USB and PS2 keyboard? :D

So it's 250 microseconds (0.00025 seconds) according to whatever random PDF you pasted.

Are you confident to tell the difference between 0 delay and 250us? Or just happy to see lower numbers?

It isn't the 250 you notice, its the 600 base DPC's.

Where is "600 base DPC's" mentioned in the PDF you posted?

We still talk about (0.00085 seconds [250us + 600us]) if whatever you type is true. You still confident enough?

And now we compare the price of this new card, which adds delay, to Creative ones which don't add this kind of delay.
Who's gonna pay for increased latency, if you can have equal for less?

Does it has equal op-amps or other components?

I don't care at all for soundcards, but can you at least provide some backup information behind your empty claims?

/me patpats my Creative G6 with Xamp discrete amplifier. I don't bother with internal solutions anymore, especially after the fiasco on AMD chipsets and systems not booting, and currently with Win10 OS updates breaking drivers.

Doesn't G6 requires drivers? Or it you just run it off SPDIF?

It has SB Connect, but it doesn't have any PCIe stuff. It can be run from MS supplied USB drivers if desired, but the Creative driver package works just fine in 1903 and 1909. There was a firmware update in March, but mine came already updated.

Their original Nu Audio measured worse than AE-5 (and now Creative has AE-7 and AE-9) so unless they made clear improvements, I wouldn't be that enthusiastic about these. But who knows, one would think that they might have made some improvements. Still not a fan of USB DAC on and PCI-E card. If it's a native USB, make it external instead so that one can use it with laptops too. Internal cards should be native PCI-E.

    The improvements are

enhanced Nahimic support (rubbish that is known to break games)
    high end capacitors
    more RGB regions

it continues to use the xcore-200 (usb phy) via an ASMedia ASM1042
