I was told this is the place to go as you guys are supposed to be pretty hot when it comes to graphics cards.

System spec--- xp professional with ATI RADEON IGP 320M

Got my latest version of need for speed most wanted and all i get is loads of triangles instead of cars and scenery... so i went for the driver update... found the latest version of the catalyst drivers for my laptop nad bang.... "INF error - Video driver not found." then "Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter wit h a standard VGA driver before running setup."

i have tried the following... deleted the drivers from control pannel>system>hardware then removed it. tried to install again after the restart and nope same prob.... then i used driver cleaner pro to remove all ati drivers...tehn tried again... nope....then installed the basic driver...nope then the full dirver...nope and so on for the last week but no such luck and its really begining to do my head in. I hope you guys can help me.

P.S Merry Christmas to you all.

Could you post the rest of your system specs please, it would be handy for us to know and thus we can assist you in a much more speedier fashion.

    cheers

I am having this exact same problem. I have an x800xt with a 3.8 p4. I was using the 5.12's until today with no issues. I have always updated my drivers monthly as the new cat's come out. I always follow the same routine as well.

uninstall old drivers through the control panel
    restart
    run driver cleaner pro
    restart
    install latest cat drivers
    restart
    play games just fine

not so with these 5.13's they have totally hosed my system. I can't install any version of driver no matter what I do. I can't even get it to respond in safe mode. I get the exact same error message as the original poster. please help
