Hope someone here can help. I just installed the subject title game onto my system that is running a CL Annihilator 2 card which of course is based on the NVIDIA's GeFORCE2 chip. The drivers installed are the latest as posted on CL's US website.

The problem I have is that when the game starts up, whether in a demo mode or actual game play, the monitor simply blanks out after a few seconds. I've tried most of the smaller resolutions and enabled VSYNCH as proposed by the manual that came with the sim. I've also tried the "/notnl" command switch to start the sim but the same thing happens. From what I've researched to date, it appears as if there is a known problem with the GeForce chip and it's application of transformation and lighting (tnl).

Just wondering if anyone else has suffered this problem and have you found a work-around? Would going to a more recent NVIDIA driver (like the Detonator 12.90) be worth my effort?

I've also requested an update to PowerStrip 3 from entechtaiwan.com and maybe there is something from within PowerStrip that I can tweak to prevent the monitor from just blanking out. The monitor is a IIyama Vision Master Pro 450 so it can handle the freqs the card can put out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Sorry this was so long winded.
if you don't already have them, try getting your monitor drivers.

Thanks for that suggestion but still no dice. I updated the drivers for my monitor (they were outdated by 6 months) but the same problem happens after a few seconds with the sim running. The monitor just goes blank and the indicator light on the monitor goes from a solid green light to an amber light. I believe that this indicates that the monitor is no longer receiving a signal from the card.
Prior to the monitor going blank during the running of the sim, I've noticed that there are occasional flickers on parts of the image on the screen. They look like momentary triangles flashed on the screen. Image quality is good other than those flickers, and then of course the monitor just goes blank.
I don't have a blanking problem with any other programs I'm running.
Any ideas? Anybody?
Thanks for the troubleshooting help.
