you don't get extra resolution(s) when you go to "Screen Resolution" windows screen? This mod does not add VSR checkbox but does add resolutions.

Yup,1920x1080 stays the highest mode in Windows Screen Resolution settings. Even with the original MOD it doesn't work. Maybe it's because I use a TV?

It works with a TV. 4k works on my 40 cheapy 1080p tv over HDMI.

I have the same problem. Even with VSR enabled, alot of games dont see above 1920x1080 unless my desktop is set to above 1080.

Im kinda afraid to try Dying Light at 4k lol

VSR would work on 15.3 beta showing all resolutions in almost any game.
But max I would get is 2560x1440.

it should show extra res in windows res setting screen, no need to go into any game.

what is basically mandatory is to follow instructions from OP and do DDU action as described, safe mode and all. I was lazy at first and didn't do it from safe mode and mod didn't work after install. Then I did it again as OP described and then it worked.

I did follow the OP instructions. But it wont hurt to redo it again.
We all know how picky software can be.
Just be extra steps cause Ill have to redo my hybrid physx setup.

I did follow it the 1st time. I removed and reinstalled again to the letter but it still doesn't work :S

    Edit:
After looking at my registry I doubt the .regs added corrently. I have the value that it changes only on node 00004 also the only node with the Options folder. The value in my reg didn't match the .reg file. I changed it manualy but still don't get the extra resolutions. I need the option in the reg on all nodes? Or is 0004 just the one I use?

    Edit-2:
Okay I have it working. It turns out the reg file only changes BestViewOption but it didn't change BestViewOption_Hdmi. I changed the value to that reg and now it works.

Could you please send me the changed cmd file, or an export of the specific keys from the registry?

Looks like a way needs to be found to make this function native to all cards so that the VSR checkbox shows up in CCC and not via a reactive registry patch.

Has anyone had a look at what triggers the VSR checkbox to showup?

After redoing it only native VSR works for me. No 4k, with even using CRU. But all VSR resolutions work now. Limitied to 3200x1800.
Still even Crysis 1 @ 3200x1800 with 2XAA looks awesome and runs very well.

Did you tried the way it's working for me?

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5038856&postcount=331

I have 290X GPus and 4K VSR works for me but no crossfire in games, if you only have one this will not be a problem for you. :)

I had quite a few that wouldnt see above 1080.
    I havent tried your method.
Once I have my file transfers done, I will try your method posted.
    Thanks mate.

Report back your result, remember to reboot after enabling test mode.

If you follow the steps to the point you'll get the extra 4K VSR resolution on your 290.

If you have any problem i will be here. :)

Works nice here with Omega 14.12 drivers and Windows 7 x64 SP1 also in Max Payne 1 & 2.
    I don't even have CCC installed ;)
I think I'll keep those drivers

Some games won't detect resolutions that are higher than what you have the Windows desktop set at.

That's awesome. What card do you have?

    Working on Win 7 SP 1 and Cat15.3 + Radeon 7850 (1GB) !

Only one issue: this tweak disable the possibility to "use centered timings" or "maintain aspect ratio" as scaling mode. You can choose those options but they're no more working.

A fix without reinstall the drivers? :D

We would have to manually find how each of those settings affects the corresponding registry values. In order to do that I have to have registry entries from people who have these settings enabled. Since AMD is looking much more reasonable about this, I believe we will have proper drivers fairly soon.

I haven't tried it but Game Companion apparently has an option for "HQ VF Downsampling/Supersample AA" which can be at various multiples of the desktop resolution. If that actually works, wouldn't it be an easier way to try this?
