A dream would be a product, that delivers 4K60fps (or @least 48fps), connected over USB3.1, because 4K30fps ist stuttery, when moving the cam fast.

If I didn't misscalculate a connectionspeed of minimum 11.2 Gbit would be neccesary to not be bottlenecked by the bandwith.

So maybe a company could implement some kind of lossless compression in hardware on the cam-side, although I can't estimate how much the CPU will be punished on this side of the USB-cable.

And there will still be some kind of price issue with such hardware and when such a thing will appear...

    But as I said - I'm only dreaming.... :)

seems nice enough for video/action camera... but again logitech webcam is good enough for most people and there already 4k version for people want 4k

but for dslr, afaik most dslr put recording limit to prevent sensor overheat
so seems bad idea using dslr for webcam

looking at the price camlink4k is around $130 usd ?
while logitech 4k webcam retail price is $150... street price might be cheaper
at that price, i would get the webcam instead camlink4k even i have video camera lying around
