A one million dollar contest for just playing the game, low amount of subscribers perhaps?
Restricted to most of European states.
PTS is up for version 2.3.0
And the newest patch info for update 2.3.1
"64bit client + DX11 improvements"
When is it out officially?
EDIT: It looks like they're removing DX9, isn't that a bad decision though?
Or do they know all of their playerbase is using DX11 graphics cards?
I think DX9 is already on legacy for this game and not officially supported plus you have to edit the ini file for it to become available too so I don't think it'll change too much when they remove it entirely.
It will however allow them to fully focus on the D3D11 API to implement new features/effects and improve the engine in general.
(Same with the 64-bit client eventually replacing the 32-bit one and lifting restrictions on RAM usage though that likely won't happen for some time yet.)
EDIT: I think the Thieves Guild DLC is planned for release in March so the patch probably hits at the same time, perhaps somewhere around mid-month?
I'm too eager to try it out, so i'm downloading the PTS tonight.
Going from some video's, the game does seem to look a little bit different.
The 64 bit client is available on PTS now, and will be released for all (PC) with the Thieves Guild DLC on March 7 (I think that's the date).
God damn, why are some elites so super hard to kill, i love the game but sometimes it's impossible to kill an elite.
I'm stuck at Captain Taarulae, i can't get her passed 50% before dying.
I asked in chat and almost nobody ever wants to help, so i guess i'll ask it here.
What level are you? If you're still the level of or lower then that MOB (lvl 15 I think) you might have some trouble solo. Once you level up a bit more, get better gear and more experience playing your class it's depressingly easy to solo bosses (tougher then elites) above your level. Don't give up, it gets easier.
After i posted, i saw a lvl26 come by and killing it so i tagged along and got the kill as well.
I guess thats the only solution to kill thos bosses lol.
I was lvl16, everything else was easy to kill like elites but this one could 3 shot me.
Atm i'm trying to make a laceration dragonknight.
2.4.5 / Dark Brotherhood, tons of changes including the removal of the "Veteran" system in favor of the Champion Point system to determine overall character strength.

The game is free to play for the rest of the week:
Copying this over from another thread.
I just bought this and another copy for my girlfriend over the weekend for $10/ea. I love the Elder Scrolls series but I (mostly) hate online gaming. Still, it seems like I don't have to team up with people if I don't feel like it. It runs well and looks pretty nice. I'm not a big fan of the interface but perhaps it will grow on me.
Seems like something that could keep me occupied here and there until the next proper ES game release. (2021?)
It's quite interesting really, if you're struggling with a boss in a dungeon or generally fighting enemies outisde, people will just randomly turn up and join in! With the amount of quests the game has, and given the size of the game world, it's quite refreshing actually. I may even dare to say, a single player Elder Scrolls game will probably never feel the same again!
I also just recently (2 months ago) bought the game and while I'm no multiplayer I'm pleasantly suprised about how you can play most of it in single player and if you want multi (helps with the tough bosses).
Still working out how to have more strenght, I see some people knocking down enemies with 2 or 3 blows whereas I need at least 10.
I've applied a reshade Uber Fidelity Suite II on it and it looks absolutely wonderful.
Lost quite some time on this game. But that means that I like it.
I have been playing for a little over a year now and I must say that this is one of the best games that I have ever played in my life (I have been a gamer since the 80s..).
Check out this video of mine of the latest trial which is Cloudrest.
Have been spending time doing quests in Stormhaven and Khenarthi's Roost lately, and can't get over all the excellent sound track remakes from previous games - especially hearing the video track I post below from near Wayrest's coastal area, which sounds a lot like Wings of Kynareth (I could be wrong on the exact track), bought back awesome memories of the Niben Bay.
Also, HBAO has been added as a new type of ambient occlusion, and the latest DLC (Murkmire - Black Marsh) will be given away as a daily reward this month!
Hello @BlackZero , are you in NA server? This is @Rontabs by the way, but I somehow recovered this original account of mine which is @Holocron .
