EK is releasing a new 120mm RGB version of its renowned EK-Vardar fan. Developed in-house and first introduced in 2014, the EK-Vardar fan is now also available as EK-Vardar EVO 120ER RGB. ... EK Announces new Vardar Fans - And Guess what?
And guess what... I should have known... well, at least some people will be happy since they don't run the typical beige color scheme.
Sorry, but nothing can convince me that there really are any cold conditions in Macedonia and Greece. Sounds like a pleasantly warm wind to me.
I bought phanteks halos for the regular vardar-evo fans, will stick to that until something breaks.I assume they plan on releasing 140mm as well.
Actually, Vardar is the name of the river that flows trough the Former Yugoslavia's Republic of Macedonia (the territory that belonged to the ancient Greeks, two millenniums ago - the Alexander the Great was also named "Alexander of Macedon") and Greece. The river flows into the Aegean Sea, the northern part of the Mediterranean Sea.
I bought 3x EK 120mm Evo 3000 rpm and they are awesome, so much CFM and the static pressure is insane . they do make quiet of noise, but compare to Enermax fans that came with the Liqtech 360mm Radiator AIO cooler they make almost the same noise but cool way way way better.
I've been using EK Varder Fans since I bought the EK Predator and I even bought the extra fans for push/pull config but after my Predator broke (the radiator sprung a leak) I just swapped the fans over to my new radiator and they're still going strong!! But now I can get them with RGB I think I'm getting the itch to buy some new fans
How would i change the RGB if i hooked these up to my ek predator 240? My motherboard is a ASUS Z 170-E and has no RGB headers or software.
There's like a meter of snow in the foreground. And it's a greek island. Not some mountain region high up.
Yeah, these look like the fans I will be getting next paycheck. The new Noctua series is super tempting but I just can't do that whole beige/brown thing. I don't even need RGB Noctua, just black would be fine. I've never owned any EK products but I've heard that the Vardar fans are excellent and the RGB will be a bonus. I've been wanting to have the inside of my computer lit up with a kind of original Xbox sort of green color. I'm also quite curious as to how this would work, since I've got an ASUS Z 97-A with no RGB headers. Plenty of 4 pin fan headers though.
