Ah, people actually still use 4:3 aspect ration monitors ? EIZO Corporation today announced the release of one 21.3-inch and two 19-inch square monitors. The 21.3-inch monitor is the FlexScan S2133 a...

Yep, this is what I have. Using 1600x1200 res too so your VGA reviews are very handy for me. :D

Still I'd prefer widescreen though, buying a new 4:3 seems weird.

One of those 21 inch ones would be useful with my existing 24's I use at work.

    I'm still stuck on a 19" 1280x1024 :( .

I'm saving up for the Oculus Rift, but I'm going to give up soon if they don't announce a release date.

At one time I thought CRT's where the only way to go on a PC. That is until I got my first Asus 27" LED/LCD. Now I am running 3 rigs each with 3 27" Asus monitors running in a Eyefinity/Surround and can say without a dought I would not go back to CRT's for any reason.

Fair enough. My spare rig has a 27" LCD but I still prefer my Sony CRT....I have yet to see an LCD that really blows my mind..

Not 1800 x 1440? ISP was good for color, but meh for gaming, IIRC. 6ms? :-\

Still, what else is there when the Last of the CRTs fail?

Most monitors by Eizo aren't meant for gaming, but for professional use. The quality is usually very high, as are the prices...

Still unfortunate that tft's haven't surpassed crt on image quality and speed.
The more modern and better 120hz screens can match the response time of a crt, but have bad colors and worthless viewing angles. The better ips and va screens can have great image quality but have crappy input lag and ghosting.

Stop using the CRT, your eyes will thank you for it by not dying at 50. Even the most hardcore anti-input-lag nuts like myself moved on long ago, hell I just ordered one which has over a frame input lag. CRTs are impossible to tune perfectly anyway, then you so much as look at it the wrong way and all the settings are reset.

Not really an issue at 100Hz...:p

I care about IQ, not lag.
A new G520 cost $2000, when u see the picture quality first hand it's easy to see why they were so expensive.

They are so good I bought 3 of them.

Yes mate that is the exact monitor I was referring to. :)

I have the 21" version. Sadly the FW900 is unavailable in NZ.....

CRT monitor 21" Samsung SyncMaster 1100P+ works 2560x1920@57Hz and 2560x1600@60Hz. I'm best in world of CRT!! :D :p But unfortunately I have never CRT monitor widescreen and it still is expensive.

NOTE: I don't like any LCD or LCD-LED monitor due to motion blur issue. Newer LCD-LED reduces much motion blur but it's fail because we get artifacts. If 2D LightBoost is enabled then no XP support nor 10-bit color (1 billion-color).
