I've got a soft spot for the Lancia Fulvia (Seriously!) So what's everybody's fav locations? I like sunny Spain and Finland Germany's always beautiful to drive through too
Some of longest stages ever at 30KM and Seasons like forza? Looking good and very pretty It's going to blow my mind in HDR10 In fact it's going to be the first time on PC for HDR. Dirt Rally 1 & 2 didn't have it on PC XBOX ONE X did which i own and it's superb in HDR10. Dirt Rally 2 HDR version is one of the reasons that i bought a XBOX ONE X recently in addition to the forza's
I like what I'm seeing from gameplay side, but visuals look pretty basic, no? They aren't any better than WRC Generations. So even with EA's backing this game received only a modest budget, probably because this is considered a niche game and they don't want to take unnecessary risks.
Oh crap, just found out that this will be using Unreal Engine. I really hope they have optimised this properly and that it isn't another Jedi Survivor stutterfest on PC. Getting really worried now. I assumed it would be using the same EGO (?) engine used for DiRT Rally 2.
That has been my one major worry since they announced this but i'm putting my faith in codemasters because unreal engine can be smooth running in the right hands. Some developers have proven this. That latest trailer is kinda putting my mind at rest. But yes i'm very susceptible to stuttering and tearing. That's why i've almost exclusively always been a gamer on PC because you can generally control that when you roll your own experience
Wales? I originally said that in my post but replaced it with Finland LOL. Wales was always my favourite location in the Milestone WRC rally games EDIT:- Just googled Maine Forest Rally Interesting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England_Forest_Rally Monte Carlo must be a lot of peoples fav With the new seasons feature we might be able to play it in the summer
I think the game look nice enough using the unreal engine. The images are sharper and there is way less bokeh effect. Imo, The game now look like what you get when you use a mobile/cell phone to film and not a real camera.
It doesn't look bad but neither does it have any graphics technology pushing features. It looks.... OK, serviceable (for example smoke and dust still look very videogamey and primitive, just check comparison between real life and in-game at 4:00 in the video). I like how trees and bushes extend further into the distance than something like WRC Generations (perhaps using nanite?).
