There is a tremendous amount of concern about the privacy of the machine you are using to run Origin (and all other software for that matter). This day and age information is important to protect, however information goes two ways. What is difficult is to judge what is possitive and what is negative. The best thing to do is to remove yourself from the situation altogether. The best solution is simply to dedicate a gaming machine. This way the only information collected is unidentifiable and mostly information they already have (their games). Run all your important data on a separate machine. Netbooks / Notebooks are fairly cheap these days and you don't need an i7 5Ghz cpu to run Excel and your Banking Webpage. Now you can play your games without worry about your data being exposed. Those with programming knowledge probably have better ways of safe guarding their data (advanced router, permission access only, hidden drives) but for the rest of us this a quick, cheap, and easy way to not have to worry and simply play the game.
