I wise move hopefully when they decide to implement what ever they decide, it will be a fair and will loose the pay to win. DLC is part of current Games but needs to add to the game
not give advantage to those who pay.

"The ability to purchase crystals in-game will become available at a later date..." we'll have to keep a close eye on how this develops.

    For now...

As soon as sales are picking up they reintroduce them. Don't let this fool you.

This is a great example of what can happen when people collectively stand against greedy game publishers. I agree we should as a community keep an eye on this but to get this far i think its a great success. 'Belgium, and Netherlands' Funny that, i thought they were part of the EU .

Yeap, and in a 13 age game as well, and a Disney IP to boot, and i am surprised Disney have not said anything yet.

The article says that in the EU Belgium and Netherlands will be investigating the gambling aspect. If they weren't a part of the EU, then they wouldn't do it in the EU. That being said, I'm not sure how it's relevant unless it's somehow connected to the EU. Although I'm not sure if the EU has any gambling regulations of its own. I'd have thought it's member state controlled entirely. But it could be a more complicated issue if it's an American company sneaking into the EU to arrange gambling opportunities hidden inside a PC game. In such a case the EU indeed might get interested.

Those sales are stopped simply to make people buy the game upon launch so they at least get the 60€ from everyone. Later they'll re-enable this system and force everyone to buy the DLC as well. You'll see...

The way they treat it as an integral part of the game makes you wonder how much money they've wasted turning it into such an abomination.

Big boss said lets milk the sheep as much as we can, anywhere we can.. but now the sheep stood up and raised their voice and they got too scared and said ok ok lets try to make it as it wasnt our intention to do this.. bla bla

What a bunch of hypocrites, EA is no worse then those.big pharma corps.. all they see is €$¥ in their eyes, they don't care about anything else. Even if it gets them a bad name..

    What a click bait!

They disabling micro-transactions only temporary till they revalute the prices. I hope EU commision will kick their a$$es for that. :D

Gambling law violation - oh yes it is ;)

I just want EA gone, for good, The amount of great franchises they absolutely casualized and destroyed, effectively taking them off the radar, feels like a crime.

Ah, now that i read it again i can see how it specifically refers to Belgium and Netherlands. The comma after the EU as well as Belgium made me read it as the EU+Belgium+Netherlands haha.

Buy the game or do not, nobody is forced to make ingame purchases. Why do punters continue to expect game producers to act like a charity, i charge my clients for absolutely everything "Can we have this or do this?" "Yes you can but im billing you for it".

The big issue is EA has micro transactions to where you actually pay to win in a game that minimum costs $59.99. Games like Halo 5 have micro transactions, but they also give no advantage in MP. Just cosmetic effects. I think if they did it to where you grind in game only instead to get advantages, it would be different. Black Ops 3 suffered the same issue big time, which is why player base kind of dwindled down.

The problem is when you sacrifice gameplay in favor of sucking money out of kids with their parents credit card. Without microtransactions you'd have to spend 4,528 hours to unlock everything in the game. FOUR AND A HALF THOUSAND HOURS! I've been playing CSGO for years, and I play almost everyday after work, and have barely reached the 1000 hours mark.

Of course they're gonna fix this now, but look at the problem like this: they made it that way on purpose, then hoped nobody would notice. Because you know, EA is not run by people who enjoy gaming at all, it's run by business hawks.

Vain attempt to avoid the gambling investigation? I hope they get slammed and it sets precedent to force loot box garbage out of all games.

Stunning revelation every time . No one is forced to do anything but it's always designed to encourage purchases and kids are involved. Trying to funnel children into gambling to squeeze out a few more pennies is disgusting.
