I mean, i guess i can get into it, but am i the only one who thinks these franchises are all made out of a commercial machine? Change setting, change a few things, wait a fiscal year, bam, new installment in the franchise. I remember the days where sequels had to impress us with something bigger and better, and there were many new IPs coming out. I liked ac2 because i was my first, i liked black flag because it was more than a ac game, it was a pirate adventure, but past that, i feel like ive played them all. Popcorn stuff really.
Well Origins was kind of a reboot for the series and I think very successful one. It's much like the previous AC 2-3 games, just way bigger and better done. I think this game has real potential to be the black flag on top of origins. AC has its ups and downs but generally it's great series. Makes sense to keep pushing those games as it's very hard to come up with something better. I think what generally ruins today's AAA games for some people are the ridiculous expectations set to them. And the expectations are aimed only to the big publishers. People went with something as buggy and simply broken game as pubg with quality which couldn't even dream of the quality of ME Andromeda. It's getting better now only because people supported it. If EA released it no matter who were the people actually making the game, the story would be quite different.
