Very crazy sales numbers as of Friday - 200K active users equates to roughly 1.2 - 1.8 million copies sold.
Not surprising since the game was on more than 3 million Steam wishlists.
Dying Light 2 gets off to a flying start on Steam • Eurogamer.net
Finished the Pilgrim's Path mission and now black screen? Next mission won't load, tried restarting the game, black screen when I continue every time, WTF?
Edit: Verified files and it replaced two and continued...
it seems they almost completely rely on RT.
my real concern is why, with the way it looks in its rasterized mode,it doesn't run at +150fps but half/third of that instead.
the 40% performance hit from RT is fine,it's actually quite low given it's RTGI+AO+shadows+reflections, and the game has dlss/fsr to recoup that lost performance.
the problem is turn off RT,the game looks like it's dying light 1 with worse shadows, and the performance isn't very good either.
you need a 1080Ti for 1440p/60 at low-med settings
for 1440/60 high you need a 3060ti not to drop below 60.Even a 2080S,a +11TFlop gpu, won't manage to hold 60 at 1440p,with just high rasterized preset.
To be fair, also Dying Light 1 already had terrible lighting in areas that were fully occluded from sun light and point lights. Reality is some game devs simply won't do it better without RT.
how is the game-play \ world ?
performance will be better in time, i wanna hear some game-play feedback
And it just beat it own record with over a quarter million concurrent players.
I can imagine the people on the studio being very happy with this launch.
Its very questionable if they didnt had denuvo would this launch be even better or worse...
it's dying light, tons of fun traversing the world and using melee weapons
Denuvo has no effect on sales. Most people don't care if a game uses Denuvo, even if it causes performance issues.
And pirates will pirate. So they'll just wait for the cracked version. Be it at launch day, or some time later.
Well if the game was cracked, just imagine some of the comments in this thread about DLSS.
I'm loving it. I also loved the first Dying light, but it does take a little getting used to. At first you start with bugger all skills and you can get into a lot of trouble very quickly, especially at night. But once you start to unlock those skills, the game world really opens up and is fun in a way very few others are. The combat is fun, weapon mods are even better than the first game and you can have up to 3 on some weapons. I really like how you have to go out at night to complete quite a few of the missions and that just ramps up the scary part of the game. I'm not a very large way into the game as yet though.
total crap, plays like crap looks like crap even with at the RT on, refunded
Careful, here we have people drooling all over this POS.
People are once again rushing to play a game that needed 1000+ fixes the first week. I'll chill for a 1-3 months before even trying it.
I'm having a nightmare with performance. I cannot use DX12 at all. DX12 Ultimate with RT hitches constantly, it's a complete stutter fest. DX12 without RT isn't much better. DX11 runs mostly fine, but still stutters occasionally. These aren't normal drops and the frame rate is high, the game just constantly micro freezes.
I wonder if this is real
More than likely pushed to its VRAM limit.
6+ months, learned my lesson with AAA single-player games a long time ago (with a hickup on CP2077...). No point in falling into FOMO, especially in single-player.
