Unigine demos kick ass. My pitiful 4850 and E8200 can only do 15fps with the DX11 renderer....time for an upgrade.

Did a quick run with a stock i7 and stock 5870 due to some part swap-outs being done right now, one of them motherboard :)

CFX was disabled. Nothing amazing as far as scores, but the jump from DX10 to DX11 makes me think the game is rigged to look bad on DX10.

But in DX11 this benchmark is honestly... breathtaking. Even though it was laggy, lol.

    Run with DX10

    Unigine
    Heaven Demo v1.0

    Occlusion: enabled
    Refraction: enabled

Yeah their website is overloaded. I'm uploading the benchmark to our USA file-mirror as we speak and then later in the day I'll add the EU mirror as well.

    Gimme 20 mins.

DX10 (No DX 10.1 like the previous one!?)
    1920*1200
    2x AA narrow-tent
    AF 4x
    No Vsync
    ***********************************

    Gave me 745 points:

    Benchmark finishedTime: 254.017
    Frames: 7512
    FPS: 29.5729
    Scores: 744.941

    512 MB frame buffer limit?

    2nd run: 1680*1050, 2xAA Narrow-Tent, AF 4x, DX10, no Vsync

    ****************************************************
    Benchmark finishedTime: 254.046
    Frames: 8683
    FPS: 34.1789
    Scores: 860.967

Not as high as I hoped for with a heavliy OC 4870. BTW, I have a second screen connecte as extended desktop. Does it severely effect gaming performance?
    2nd screen is running 1024*1200(it stands vertically/portrait)

I'm downloading the HD video's. When I have the money, I will buy a DX11 chip.
    It really starts to...you know...

But for the games of today, the 4870 is sufficient. Except the 'youknowwhat' game.
300 euro's is still to much...

well i run the demo, 25fps, dx11 1680x1024 high quality, i could enable tessellation but nothing..really it looks normal without tessellation..it's bull****, knowing that my card can do tessellation, but it doesn't work cause i don't have dx11..really bull****.
