I have a sony dw-d22a, it has been working fine for about 3 months.

My problem is whenever I play dvds it is slow, and the reason is when I check the nforce controller in hardware it says its set to pio mode. So set it to let bios select, nope everytime I restart it goes back to pio. I checked in the bios, and its set to auto. Can anyone help me with this? It makes my dvds unviewable it keeps freezing. Also below the part where it says pio it says transfer mode downgraded. I try clicking on it, nothing happens.

first check the settings in your bios and make sure it is correct. then go into device manager and set it to "DMA if availible" under the controlers advanced settings. this should work
