Jace Hall hosts his own show at Crackle.com and as a former chief executive at Monolith Studios No One Lives Forever F.E.A.R it's fair to say that he should at least know what he's doing in the games... More...
Sweet jesus Greg Grunberg is annoying! Seriously, he needs a beating up to remove some of that unnecessary enthusiasm. Not much of the game.. looks dated though. ... does that show have enough edits in it?!
Haha, that doesn't look half bad! Looks like a dash of Prey with a dash of Doom 3 with a dash of Half-Life. Might turn out to be a decent game after all -- if we end up seeing it in our age at all though.
Interest in this game has been going up and down like a rollercoaster for years now. It is officially at a high now.
Duke Nukem Forever = DNF = Did Not Finish Not just a coincidence! I recently installed and played all of Duke Nukem 3D, was one of the first games I ever played on PC. Looking forward to DNF... when it's done.
You did not! That's pretty cool. I always think I'm going to play some old game again (from start to finish) and after installing it and playing for about an hour, I just let it sit on the desktop for about a month or so until I uninstall it again. LOL
Meh, doesnt exactly look like anything new. If its fun, I might get it, if PC's aren't obsolete by the time its released.
+1 on him being annoying after the first minute. Sad but expectable that there was not much footage of the game - the guy might have played it for hours, though. It might look dated because almost every game does look dated before entering beta phase. Consider this footage to be alpha - not everything in, lots of stuff to correct, optimize and create -, since there's no news of game being on beta stage, and for an alpha, it looks quite good.
Did too! Gotta love the pistol! Everything is working except mouse Y direction aiming. I replay old game much more often than I buy new ones... saves me money and it's great to go back to the oldies.
Actually, by Alpha phase, the games look, design, and concepts should be all pretty much finalised. Anything is set top chage - yes, but not the art direction, or look. t wont look mucbh better. You have to remember this was started on the Quake 2 engine, and is now on a modified UE2 (iirc) so its never going to look that good by todays standards......... (thought they had apparently updated the particle effects, whoopdy doo)
