On one hand, good luck. On another, that build wasn't anywhere close to that claimed 90% mark and the amount of work needed to be put into it, likely puts it at risk of any third party non-profit attempts simply dying out before completion. Lastly, as usual going all out with official page and youtube trailers seems quite unwise and i would be surprised if it wouldn't end up with Cease and Desist letter somewhere down the line if the project doesn't die naturally within 6 months.
Yeah. A very unfinished build leaked. I have not tried it, and won't. I have a hang up against using leaked builds. If the developers didn't release it officially... nope. It's been said this is an older build then the one Fred talked about several years back. So, not as complete. Hard to restore something when you don't have everything... or even fully know everything they were wanting to do.
I sooo want to see this happen! Naturally the team has lots of blanks to fill in but I don't mind that they can use their own vision. When the original never existed there's no right and wrong way to do it. I just want a properly playable DnF 2001. From what I saw of the leaked build the gameplay loop was largely in place already and the general story beats, just levels were largely unfinished still.

I just want to mention that i never played this gamr, but it has to be definitely up there with the best looter shooter fps ever made, the atmosphere is amazing, love the 80s tunes in the game adds so much to the atmosphere
