I am using 2 x 9600GT cards in SLi mode and wish to run 2 monitors but only one will function, the other shows no signal. I have been advised that I need the latest nVidia drivers for 2 monitors to function but as I am using 181.22 and the latest is 182.05 this seems I would appreciate your comments please on where I`1m going wrong Thanks George
SLI does dual monitor support? i thought only way to use two monitors as ur main screen was with SLI disabled. u can use two monitors in SLI, but only able to swap back and forth from monitor to monitor, no dual display.
As long as both screens are plugged into the primary card you can do dual screens with sli enabled in Vista. You get the option in the cp which screen you want to use as the primary:
good stuff. last i checked it wasent possible. havent really looked into it again since i got rid of one of my screens.
Is it important which card the second monitor is connected too?? Should it be the same as the main connection or the other graphics card? Thnaks George
Both monitors have to be plugged into the first card for it to work. It's a bit of an annoyance if you run folding@home on both GPUs as not only do you have to disable SLI, but you have to plug the monitor back into the other card every time you want to fold.
