    Hello everyone.

So I'm doing a new build relatively soon, and I was wondering what the best option is, two xeon E5-1620's or a single i7 3930K.

Primary use would be gaming, but I also do:

    Seriouos multitasking with various programs
    Music production
    Video editing
    Graphical design
    Image editing
    And of course, gaming.

I'd also like to know the main difference I would see between the options, if any.

    Thank you in advance people.

looking at that cpu, it will only work on its own, not with two

i think the E5-2609 will work as a duel

Wait so I can't have two E5-1620s working at the same time on a dual processor board?

Nope. those dont have a QPI link, meaning that they wont interconnect with eachother.. so 3930k is your only option
