    So
it has take a few days to perfect. You know..cable management, alignment, SLI profile building, driver selection, and general tweaking.

    So the build is:

2x 3090 rtx Founders Edition & SLI bridge
    2x 8180M (56/112 cores
    1.5 TB ram
Asus c621 Sage Dual socket motherboard
4x Raid Samsung 860 pro (4TB each, 16TB total) data and backups
1x Samsung 860 pro (4TB) data and backups
1x Sabrent 8TB nvme for Apps and Games
    1x Sabrent 4TB nvme (OS)
    1600W digital power supply
    asus PA32UCX-P monitor
Thermaltake P1 micro ATX case (modified..heavily)
MS Windows Data Center 2020 for OS
1x pound of flesh and blood

Used for research ...and a little gaming

I already had a lot of custom profiles for my quad SLI rig, so a few edits and I've been able to get SLI to work quite well.

I've moved my 1x 32GB Titan CEO ed and the othre 3x Titans to my wife's pc. Which is also a case mod clone of this machine, because it was my prior build.

So far, ...now that its all buttoned up, it seems quite a decent PC,
It very quiet, almost inaudible at idle, and creepily quite quiet under load..I like that. Provides no audible presence in room.

Temps are nice and cool, under load the cards have yet to get above 67C.
CPU run at about 41C under load, and RAM hovers at 55C under load.
NVME drives run 28C idle and 52C at the end of a full drive copy.

I'm trying to post images but this forum is problematic, hence some are sideways.

    Amazing,
If you have any old useless bits lying around, I'm sure I could find a home for them lol.

And, how on earth did you manage to get 2 FE cards ?

You need to change those xeons for pair of epyc cpus or some threadripper.

Money isn't a problem so it's a useless purchase for those owners who pay platinum everything, AMD is 2nd tier. Datacenter Microsoft OS license costs more than enthusiast grade gaming rig on its own. ROFL! :D

Not possible, there are no dual socket /rome motherboards that have audio on board, and the correctly spaced PCIe slots.... or I would have

Closest contender was a gigabyte board but still not workstation style enough for what I do.

That's a hell of a rig. Really dig the open air design and the noctuas!
those 3090 FEs are big boys.

Amazing, though with that case i'd be worried about something falling down the open top, like a cat for example.

Its tucked under the desk so access from above is limited, and we don't have a cat or toddlers.

About the same success rate as all my SLI endeavors ( so / so )
about 40% of games that I make profiles for really scale well, about 20% run better than just 1 card, and the rest (40 %) I have poor success at getting any improvement whatsoever despite everything I try.

It uses 1100+ lighting zones, only lights up dynamically sections by amount needed
It’s also one of the better medical image monitors

yes it’s thick for a modern monitor, but the image quality is pretty good

Probably the brightest monitor on the market for hdr etc
