Decided to try my X-Star DP2710 @ 110hz instead of the 4K monitor I've been using for a night, and see how the experience of DSR 1440p 110hz vs. 4K 60hz native compared, but I am finding that custom resolutions immediately disable the DSR options from showing up, and if I enable DSR first it says to disable it to use custom resolutions.

I have tried using CRU with just the 110hz resolution in the EDID at all, and the clockrate patcher used on the NVidia drivers. However, this results in the refresh rate working but no DSR option in the control panel still.

Any ideas? :) Or any announcement of custom res. being allowed with DSR already soon?

UPDATE!! The new 344.24 WHQL drivers w/ modded INF for desktop, allow me to use up to 400mhz pixel clock (~97hz) in conjunction with DSR @ 2560x1440 when set using ToastyX's CRU (Custom Refresh Utility). Looks and works perfectly in SLI on my GTX 970 cards (x2)... detail isn't quite as good as native 4K was but it's not very far off .

97hz 2560x1440 PLS is pretty sublime for now until further fixes are made!

    EDIT:

Settings in BF4 (cards keep downbinning from ~1485mhz but whatever :p ) that hold ~115-125fps no matter the map on 64 player servers that I'm using in DSR 3413x1920 going to native 2560x1440, all at 97hz for now:

Hopefully we can get a new ToastyX patcher version soon and I can return to 110hz+ but... :).

    1. Run CRU, add 2560x1440 with your preffered refresh rate, in my case 117hz.

    2. Make sure you've ran the pixel patcher

    3. Go to NV CPL and enable DSR at whichever res you want.

You should see under resolutions, ie 3840x2160@117 hz in my case.

Theres nothing else to it. Some games will not use the higher refresh, to fix this, change the res to your DSR res before running the game.

Agent, I already tried that but in SLI mode it doesn't work even with the patcher, taking away the DSR option as soon as the bandwidth exceeds 400mhz in the pixel clock :(. That worked fine single-card but I run SLI.
