    I have 21:9 monitor (X34), and there are quite a few games that don't support ultra-wide resolutions, either natively or via memory hack. The NVCP only offers multipliers of your monitor's native resolution, which essentially means that a game like SFIV, which doesn't support 21:9, can't benefit from DSR.

    Is there any way to create a 16:9 DSR resolution when using a 21:9 monitor? I can't find anything in NVInspector; does anyone know of another tool/hack that would work?

    Thanks Guzz. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this change all of my DSR resolutions to 16:9? I was hoping for a solution that would allow 16:9 and 21:9 to coexist. I suppose I could write a script that would update the registry then reboot whenever I wanted to switch between them. Shame there isn't a better solution.

    DSR supports seven custom resolutions, so you can use part of it for 16:9 and other part for 21:9.
    Here's example:
    3840x2160 (16:9 DSR 2.25x)
    5120x2880 (16:9 DSR 4.00x)
    5160x2160 (21:9 DSR 2.25x)
    6880x2880 (21:9 DSR 4.00x)
    Code:
    "SmoothScalingData"=hex:01,00,00,00,21,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,9a,2b,00,00,98,3a,\
      00,00,00,00,00,00,23,3a,00,00,20,4e,00,00,00,00,00,00,98,3a,00,00,98,3a,00,\
      00,00,00,00,00,20,4e,00,00,20,4e,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
      00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
      00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
      00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00

    Have you tried Flawless Widescreen dot org?

    I use Flawless Widescreen and Widescreen Fixer and find them essential for ultra-widescreen gaming. I also break out the hex editor when necessary but not every game can be forced into an ultra-wide aspect ratio. I used SFIV as an example in my OP but such is the case for just about any 2D versus fighting game.

    Nvidia really needs to update DSR to be more customizeable.
