does anybody knows which version of the Ubisoft DRM this game uses? is it the light version or the one requiring always on connection?
Oi I saw your original post! Yes I have a 120hz monitor and the game locks at 120 not a frame below or higher which is bizarre, with v sync on it locks at 60..doh! Any way played it some more and un installed it, it just gets more boring, their are races and chases both are boring also don't expect epic crashes like burnout they look pants.
Honestly... This game sucks. And the thing of getting out of your body and drive other cars... Come on!! Great lack of ideas... Graphically it's a 7, no more... Nice music and nice acting though. Anyway... I've found the ini file in documents and there's a voice called radial blur, that is set to 0. Better to put it to 1?
My HD space is too precious to even install this. I rather drive around in GTA4 causing the FIB to chase me.
Did u guys spot the Radial Blur option in the config settings? Go to Theres teh graphics.ini. I set it to 1 but im not shure, i think i see no diff at all..Standart this setting is disabled and not found ingame..
so far the only good thing about this game that i see are actual real cars on the road. but the out of body car change is just a game breaker for me.
Not sure what all you guys are bitching and moaning about. The game is supposed to be a take on the classic Driver game. It's not supposed to be competition for GTA or Saints Row. "omg can't get out of my car in a game called DRIVER which is focused only on DRIVING." I thought the game was a lot better then the previous Driver games.
That was taken out prior to release I believe and now only requires you to sign in each time you launch the game. The single player can then be played offline after that if you want.
Several issues here: 1. GTA does the driving part / pedestrians / police chases far better than Driver, even if you dont get out of the car in GTA. 2. If Driver was focused on DRIVING why can i switch cars in a totally hilarious ghostlike manner which provides an easy way to cheat around heavy accidents? Seriously, last time i checked racing games are all about feeling the speed adrenaline and that comes usually by knowing that if you're making a little mistake while going at a rediculous speed you can kiss your race goodbye. Its something the devs of the latest Driver have forgotten about and instead created something that Forza3 had - to escape from any mistake you've made for the sole reason making the game more accessible to kiddies.
I took that info from the Ubisoft Driver forum: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2381087925/m/5091019049 "*Important Update about the use of DRM in the PC Version* We've heard your feedback regarding the permanent internet connection requirement for Driver and have made the decision to no longer include it. So this means that Driver PC gamers will only need to sign in at game launch but can subsequently choose to play the game offline."
