I have always been a fan of long-term driver support for products.
Nothing is more infuriating than having a three or four year old card...you go to install a newly released driver and it tells you the driver is incompatible.
That has happened quite a bit with my AMD cards of the past.
It was one of the main reasons I stopped purchasing AMD graphics cards...my last one being the R9 290.
Nvidia tends to be much, much better in this regard.
Old...and I mean old cards tend to be supported much longer...even if all the features are not fully optimized.
What are your feelings about the duration of driver support?

The R9 290 was released in 2013 and still has full driver support, that's 7 years and going.

I think your post is ridiculous.

I agree with @rflair, you are ridiculous.
I'm happy my trusty R9 390 is still supported, and your R9 290 is also supported.
