Setting PhysX to Medium will help your framerate a bit... the game has some FPS issues in spots and never got fixed. Not much you can do but turn down PhysX or lower draw distance.

You got the latest version. I'd use the latest beta driver with the latest PhysX 9.12.xx version since 9.13 can have performance issues with GPU PhysX.

Don't forget to use "Antialiasing fix" in the Nvidia Inspector if you force SGSSAA, it prevents ugly stripe artifacts.

Doesnt matter what physix you use though, BL2 has his own physix libraries in the game folder, it uses 2.8.4 sdk.
Even if you dont have any physix installed, it will use it.
Which version of the physix driver youre using anyway?

afair there have also been reports about Borderlands 2 issues with 9.13, not just Metro LL.

9.12.1031 works without any issues for me in BL2.

Though I've set PhysX to low in that game, otherwise I don't see a dam thing while gunzerking.

Why my gpu usage drops to 40% when the fps drops in certain fights or open areas ? It's normal to be at full usage when the fps drops...

Don't you think that it's UE3 limitation (poor multithreading)?

Ok back to physx. Really tried to play the game on medium physx, i really cand. In fights drops to 55 fps and i have an 120Hz monitor and 55fps on this monitor is like playing on 20fps on a normal monitor.
I didn't really thought my 680 can't handle those physx things. The game by itself doesn't eat performance at all, only the damn physx.

Anyone knows some kind of tweaks to disable some physx simulations, like cloth simulations, or some of the bullet impact things ?

Or reduce the physx particles ? I really want to play with physx, but is the same performance on medium or at high. And on low there is mo physx at all.

UE3 engine at it best... nothing can be done. there was in January a small period of time when the game worked good, but that was over fast.

With the setup you have, there should be no problem with maxed physx and your GTX 680. I think it's a driver issue. My wife has a GTX 680 and a similar configuration to yours with a 24 incher at 1920x1200 resolution. She had a ton of problems with all newer Nvidia drivers except the 314 series. My wife has the 314.21 drivers installed and runs BL2 fully maxed and has NO problems at all. I have 2 Titans and none of the newer drivers worked properly for me either. I have the 314.14 drivers and everything runs great. Try older drivers. Your 680 should have no problem with BL2 and it's physx.

On my 120hz monitor when the fps drops to 60-70 it feels so sluggish, i need to keep it between 90-and 130fps to feel smooth.

And physx on medium or high is not giving me that much frame rate.

Latest BETA 326.41 work great for me in BL2.

Wish i could say the same. Mostly the game is fine, but in some maps it drops to 30ish when a gazillion of particles are on screen. And im usin sli and physix on high.
    Oh well.
Game worked wonders before 1.1.3 patch.
