just tested DA2, 1680*1050,4xAA,16xAF,DX11, Very High, High Res Textures, everything on, (including triple buffering and triliniar filtering from .ini) 30fps min, 58fps max.
Huge improvement, finally can play with tessellation, but it still needs improvement..

I finally had time to test my favorite game Black Ops with these new 267.59 drivers and came up with some very unusual findings. My first test was running around in Nuketown with no AA and the results were sorta like the 267.24's or 267.31's or even very very slightly less performance and my Fraps tests for the same timeframe as my previous driver testing showed that the card had done a bit less frames in the 30 sec test period. I ran a few times to be sure. I was scratching my head about this and about to post that Black Ops does not run as good with this 267.59 driver as it does with previous drivers then I thought "what if this driver does not do as well if no AA is on but it does very well when things get more complex with 16x AA on" because we've already seen it does well with things cranked up on Dragon Age 2. So I put it to the test. I haven't tested Black Ops with 16x AA for awhile but here is a comparison with 267.59 and 266.58 and 166.87:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    99, 134, 114.083 - driver 266.87 16x AA
    98, 136, 114.083 - driver 266.58 16x AA
    127, 157, 139.73 - driver 267.59 16x AA

I need to test this some more but I think the 267.59 driver shows it's superiority to the other drivers when lots of AA is used in Dx9 or Dx10 games. I gotta test more to be sure.

These benches done in Call of Duty Black Ops. It was a run-around-Nuketown-by-myself test. The 270.32 is best at keeping the MinFPS high but when lots of AA is used the 267.59 driver pulls ahead with MaxFPS and although it doesn't demonstrate it the best in my run-around-Nuketown-by-myself tests it becomes more evident while in an actual game.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    7077, 30000, 191, 284, 235.900 - 270.32 with no AA Black Ops
    6928, 30000, 189, 291, 230.933 - 267.59 with no AA Black Ops

    5138, 30000, 155, 192, 171.267 - 270.32 with 8x AA Black Ops
    5192, 30000, 154, 192, 173.067 - 267.59 with 8x AA Black Ops

    4154, 30000, 128, 155, 138.467 - 270.32 with 16x AA Black Ops
    4192, 30000, 127, 157, 139.733 - 267.59 with 16x AA Black Ops

In the end though I prefer the 270.32 for Black Ops cuz when it keeps the MinFPS up I play better and score better.

These drivers seem very good for DA2 as I've been playing it all night. On DX11 Very High settings, 4xAA/16xAF, hi-res texture pack and everything else checked I seem to be getting an extra 8 to 10 fps so the average framerate is 40-45 fps instead of 30-35 fps. I suspect the minimum framerate is higher too as the game feels noticeably more responsive and nowhere is this more apparent that Sundermount which previously always felt laggy (and even dipped to 20 fps at times) with the other v267.xx betas.

I've not tested them with any other games but I'd imagine other games must be improved too. Hopefully we'll see a unified WHQL release for all cards soon, possibly with further improvements plus BioWare are working on a patch for DA2 to improve performance further.

The 8xAA bug is still there in DA2 though during battles when running under DX11 (a black pixelly mass of what looks like displaced shadows appears to the top-left); it's which I'm using 4xAA at the moment. Could be a game issue I suppose rather than a driver one as the same glitch appeared in the demo.

Dramatic Improvement with DA2 for me.

Both of the below were using DX10 "High" mode at a 1920x1080 resolution.

267.26 - AA Off, 16x AF, High Resolution Textures:

    - Less than 20 FPS during fights
    - 30FPS when just walking about, with very noticeable lag

267.59 -4x AA, 16x AF, High Resolution Textures:

    - Capped at 60 FPS by vsync
    - 35+ FPS during fights
    - 40-60 FPS when walking about, with no lag

    System: Core i7 930 @ 2.93 GHz, GeForce GTX 260 896MB overclocked (700MHz GPU Clock/1509MHz Shader/1000MHz Memory), 6GB DDR3 Triple Channel RAM (1600MHz) - Windows 7 64bit.

I can confirm there is a nice improvement in DA2 with theese.

But still it can be better.

    Just a quick heads up.

The .inf of these is considerably different to other infs in the series. It seems to copy a LOT more files than the other drivers in the series.

So to be on the safe side, I've modded the actual inf from this driver, to support all cards.

Please find the 267.59 Win 7 x64 International inf <<<

    Just ran 3D Mark 11
    270.32 - 3568
    267.59 - 3547

    Gonna run Vantage now.
    *edit

    Vantage
    270.32 - 12721
    267.59 - 12815

Well my performance just certainly makes the few naysayers in here look like dogma spewing retards.

It went from 40 frames avg on high with 8aa and like 20 frame min to 60 frames constant.

"Bu bu but, if teh nvidiaz doesn't says it's better then it isn't"

    /facepalm

    The fix is there.

Dublin, do you have any more info or ideas on the extra files and if they seem to be important or necessary or any further thoughts on that?

I just tried for the demo, and it's actually true! Not perfect but it's a start.

Holy cow. HUGE difference in Dragon Age II. After seeing folks claim the difference I figured I'd try it. Big difference.

    i5-750 @ 4Ghz
    GTX 470 SLI
Dragon Age II (v1.0) + High Resolution Texture Update
    1920x1080 Vsync = Off
    8xAA - 16x Aniso
    DX11 Very High
    High Quality Blur = On
    High Res Textures = On
    Depth of Field = Off
    Ambient Occlusion = Off

60 Second Fraps Benchmark using a Saved Game in a cave, running the same path without combat (i.e. cave already cleared).

Just after looking though it there - and its actually nothing to worry about. Just localisation files, as this is the International version of the driver that I have.

L4D2 runs great, even with forced threaded optimization - on, not a single hickup just like with 263.15telsa. TF2 was smooth, but i noticed 1 micro stutter spike, idk could server fault it was a bit laggy and sometimes players skipped..

    So far they're quite interesting:nerd:

There is more then just Games i allready said that for example the Cuda Encoder good improved and a bug fixed in the 270.xx release :)
Same possibility here and for example also the Decoding parts and IQ for Video could have improved in other areas :)

I just registered to say that this driver did increase performance for me. I've been trying every driver posted here in guru3d since DA2 came out.

    Settings:
1920x1080 Very High, AA 4x, AF 4x, SAO, HQMB, DDoF and HiRes Texts
    Hightown daytime:

    270.32: 18-22 fps
    267.59: 28-37 fps

Huge Boost for Very High! Very Playable now.

Note: My fps using High settings didnt change at all.

GUY's does this one fix the micro stutter on video playback ?. I don't care much for performance as i don't need to run games at 1000000000000fps !!! I need this micro stutter fixed.
