The PC version has a different style of play to the console versions... PC version is more of a "point and click" but keyboard keys can be used to navigate etc etc. Console version is more about comfortable navigation/movement rather than tactical gameplay like the PC... Dragon Age Origins should be very very cheap to buy now, you should check it out and if you dont like it, its better than spending $60 or £40 on Dragon Age 2 and wasting money.
The only 'bad' thing about DA:O was the fact its development cycle showed during the game. Great game, but a tad unbalenced, with a few rough edges.
I can't help but feel the current combat system is really, really tacky (after watching that combat walkthrough)
doubts I also have my fare share of concerns for the 2nd game. The first one was truly amazing, in my opinion, even better experience than Mass Effect. I have read many places that the game isn't as open as the first, which kind of bothers me. The only thing that is a plus so far is the combat. Here is the latest preview that just went up from the latest EA event http://pc.gamezone.com/previews/item/dragon_age_ii/ They do seem to praise it, but I just don't know, I'll need more convincing to believe that DA2 is a worthy successor.
does anyone know where the story takes place in regards to the first game. eg.does this take place before DA1 ?
no, it takes place concurrently with the events of DA1 (the main character of DA2 is a refugee from lothering, from what I remember)
Ser, my friend. Comon man. Blame the DEVELOPER, not the CONSOLES man ...always remember the METRO 2033..DX11 on PC and game is also a console game
